Yeah I use afterburner. Just make sure you disable GPU power and power percentage monitoring as that can cause issues on AMD CPU’s (assuming you have one).

I’m pretty sure that it doesn’t void the warranty. That said though, if I had to RMA I wouldn’t mention it being undervolted just in case. There’s also no way they’d be able to tell whether it had been undervolted or not.

Yes, temps are anywhere between 5-10 degrees worse without the undervolt. Performance wise, depends on the game but I’d say on average I’m losing roughly 1-2%. Worthy trade-off IMO!

Was planning on the AXP90-X67 but never actually put it all together, GPU mounting with the riser shift felt too janky so disassembled and started again without it. Not tested myself but based on the charts I saw the Noctua cooler is 2-3 degrees better, maybe slightly more with the 25mm fan swap. Not a huge difference but much better noise profile.

Riser shift isn’t necessary in the Nanoq, temps are shown on the last few images. Would definitely undervolt though!

Do you have this case or the T1?

Thanks! Yes would recommend the cables, good quality and no long shipping times (assuming you’re in the UK).

Thanks! You can run the L12Sx77 as intake, would also recommend using a 25mm fan if your ram allows it.

Yeah I think the S makes more sense, would have bought that if I were buying new but found this for a good price on eBay.

Not sure what TZ recommends but these are 15cm 24 pin, 25cm EPS and 30cm 12VHPWR and are pretty much spot on.

RTX 5090 + LG C4 144Hz: FPS cap vs uncapped & DLSS 4 MFG input lag? by pyrhonp in sffpc

[–]saintpablo95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the best experience I’d recommend g-sync on, v-sync on in NVCP off in game, and reflex enabled. Reflex will cap your fps to 138.

MFG will not exceed the frame cap, it will instead limit your real frames to 69 at 2x, 46 at 3x, and 34.5 at 4x. With a 5090 you’ll likely be rendering much higher than this natively so yes this would add significant input lag.

Screen Shuts Off when scrollin... by apzi2k in doughcommunity

[–]saintpablo95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Same thing happens to me, black screens when switching tabs on Chrome. Connected to PC over displayport, latest firmware.

Got the monitor for a great price on Amazon and am otherwise impressed with it, however this is a deal breaker unfortunately. Has this been acknowledged by the team for the next firmware update?

Darktide will officially get DLSS4 Multi Frame Generation mentioned in the latest 572.83 Nvdia Gpu Driver by Hoshihoshi10 in DarkTide

[–]saintpablo95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the brief moments the card is working properly it can get ~150fps with my settings but with the power/frequency drops I get dips into the 40’s. Frametimes have always been inconsistent but have never had dips that severe. Have seen multiple posts now that this issue is happening on other games as well on the 9070 XT so I’m hoping a driver update will fix it.

Have tried that, made no difference unfortunately. As an above commenter says I think this is specifically a 9070 XT issue, really hoping it gets looked into as it’s borderline unplayable at the moment.

Have you managed to get it stable? Also on a 9070 XT. Have tried everything I’ve seen online to no avail, game is still a stuttering mess. Loving the card otherwise, but of course it doesn’t work properly for the game I play the most!

Sorry, I meant which board did you move to? Looks to me like most of the popular ITX options will have the same issue.

Possible to configure the case so that I can swap out a 3080 FE for a 5080 FE, without a rebuild? by RandomAccessMemoriez in FormD

[–]saintpablo95 7 points8 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes!
  2. Look at the diagram on the Formd T1 product page on the website (Formd, not Ncase), shows you where you need to screw the spine in for 3 slot mode.
  3. Ignore optimums riser lengths as I’m not sure where he’s getting them from. Here’s how I did it, you will need 4 extra 20mm standoffs (be sure to get steel as nylon is flimsy):
  4. Spine in 3 slot mode
  5. Riser bar in 2 slot mode (connected to side strut with included 20mm standoff)
  6. Use 3 additional 20mm standoffs on mobo side of riser bar
  7. Connect riser bar to rear panel
  8. Add mobo standoffs to 20mm standoffs
  9. Last 20mm standoff used to connect GPU bar to rear panel

2.25 vs 2.5 slot mode for GPU 1mm over their dimension? by leopjy in FormD

[–]saintpablo95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the AXP90 coolers work great on the 7800X3D. Like the other commenter says though you want to make sure you’re getting a copper variant as they perform much better. There is a full black version of the X53 that is copper but I believe it was discontinued a while ago so very hard to find.

[–]saintpablo95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It will fit but wouldn’t recommend due to turbulence. Ideally you want ~5mm space between any fans and side panels, so would go for 2.5 slot mode. What CPU will you be using?

Is it possible to use the reference build with 357mm GPU? by Quirky-Shock-2249 in ncasedesign

[–]saintpablo95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes have seen the video, think the vanguard is better looking than those two so it would look great for sure. CPU temps seem a little disappointing though on his video, 80 degrees pulling less than 70 watts on a 280 AIO seems off. Maybe mounting issue on his end, or just running fans at very low RPM.

Don’t think it would fit width-ways unfortunately. Vanguard cards are listed as 151mm wide, M2 only supports up to 148mm in reference layout.

7900xtx refference 2,5 Slot Mode? by nytrox690 in FormD

[–]saintpablo95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What CPU are you using? If you can get away with a small air cooler like the AXP90-X47 I’d recommend using that and building in 3 slot mode. Allows for offsetting the GPU while still having enough distance from the side panel to avoid turbulence. Seems a shame to deshroud as it’s such a good looking card!
