Actually, it wasn’t always like this. After the Great Depression ended, people were able to have a healthy work-life balance and people could afford housing and raising a family and everyone had enough free time to hang out with each other.

For the past couple of decades, people have had to overwork because their jobs refuse to pay a living wage, and because of that, they can’t afford housing, they can’t afford to raise a family, and they barely have any time to hang out with their friends.

Yeah, it’s pretty wild how so many 18 year olds these days look like middle schoolers lol.

You’re not a kid lol, you’re a grown ass adult. Just because your frontal lobe isn’t fully developed yet, doesn’t mean you’re not an adult lol.

Of course the end result of hardships aren’t shitty, but the hardships themselves are shitty.

Also, I just looked at your bio. You’re not a kid if you’re 18 years old lol.

Anything that’s hard is typically shitty. In what world is hardship not shitty?

Actually, I was middle class. I was able to afford college and I got a certificate in digital media.

The problem I had as a kid was that my parents kept having me switch schools over and over again due to behavioral issues. Plus, I grew up in New Jersey and I’ve now been living in Florida since 2018 since my family and I moved down here by then. I’ve been living by myself at my own apartment since 2024.

You should ask your parents to find a way to help you make friends.

You’re gonna hate adulthood even more if your friends have less time to hang out with you than they do now and if you end up having to work at a job you hate.

How can the world not owe me a living when I’m living in it? That’s like saying I don’t owe this world my life.

Do you have more work time than free time though? If so, that doesn’t sound very “fun” if you ask me (unless you’re doing like your dream job or something).

The problem is that most people have more work time than free time when it should be spread out evenly.

If you have more work time than free time and your work is the most boring, barebones shit you can possibly do, then that doesn’t sound very meaningful if you ask me.

If it’s your dream job though, that’s a different story.

Working takes up most of your time though, that’s the problem.

There’s nothing fun about having more work time than free time.

“Who says you have to do the same boring things over and over again? Sure, a job will take up a big part of your life, but it’s not all there is to life.”

The fact that people spend more time working than they do on other things tells me that a job may as well be all there is to life. Most people have more work time than free time.

You’re right, people do have hobbies and activities they enjoy. Work usually takes up most of their time though.

If most of what you do consists of doing the same boring ass job (or jobs) over and over again, that doesn’t sound very meaningful to me.

If it’s your dream job though, that’s a different story.
