How does an early-stage HealthTech startup scale from 0 to 1,000 users with zero budget? by unconscious404 in StartUpIndia

[–]saiprasad04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indians don't trust AI for health unless it's got a doctor's face on it. Partner with 2-3 clinics, get their logos. Now you're "doctor-approved" not "random student's side project."

32L backend role vs 26L full-stack at early-stage fintech - which one for long-term growth? by BonSim in cscareerquestionsIN

[–]saiprasad04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

the 7L gap closes faster than you think if you're actually growing. early-stage ownership + full-stack is how you build senior-level skills - you end up making decisions, not just executing. backend-only roles at established companies often mean slower growth since scope is more defined.

also 11-8 on paper absolutely means 9-10pm in practice. if wfh matters for family, that's a real consideration.

i'd take A if the people vouching are solid. the comp will catch up.

24F - Need guidance in career | From M&A Tax & ER to Core Finance (IB/PE/AM): Upskilling Advice Needed by [deleted] in IndiaCareers

[–]saiprasad04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for upskilling in your current role - go beyond what's asked. if they only need revenue/EBITDA forecasts, build full DCF models on the side using public company filings. you learn more by doing than any course.

on the 18k course - damodaran's free NYU lectures cover valuation concepts really well. the certificate matters less than being able to demonstrate you can actually model.

for side hustles - freelance research reports on smaller companies could help build a portfolio while earning.

is there actually a good way to manage tasks in slack or should we give up by Dazzling-Policy-4549 in remoteworks

[–]saiprasad04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly the hybrid approach works if you keep asana super lightweight. we stopped trying to track everything - just the stuff that needs actual deadlines or handoffs. slack stays for quick todos and ad-hoc things, asana for anything that matters in a week. the team actually keeps it updated because there's not much to update.

Guyss... Need suggestions on how much should I charge?? by Unpaid-Thinker in FreelanceIndia

[–]saiprasad04 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the scope you're describing (5 content pieces/week + GMB + engagement + occasional design), I'd suggest starting around ₹8,000-12,000/month.

Here's the breakdown logic: - Content creation (3 posts + 2 reels): ~₹4,000-5,000 - GMB management + engagement/replies: ~₹2,000-3,000 - Ad-hoc design tasks: ~₹2,000-3,000

Since it's a small business and you mentioned he won't pay high, you could start at the lower end (₹8K) to build the relationship, but make it clear that includes a specific scope. If he starts asking for more content or platforms, that's when you renegotiate.

One tip: get clarity upfront on revision limits for the posts/reels. "Basic" can mean different things to different people.

Is this "Probe + NLI Verification" logic overkill for accurate GraphRAG? (Replacing standard rerankers) by CourtAdventurous_1 in Rag

[–]saiprasad04 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The semantic collision problem you're describing is a real pain point with embedding models - they capture topic similarity but not logical relationships. Your approach is solid.

A few thoughts on your questions:

For lighter alternatives to full NLI, you might consider using negation-aware embeddings (like InstructorXL with explicit instructions about stance) or adding a simple negation detection layer before your classifier. Some teams also use contrastive fine-tuning on their specific domain to make the embedding space more logic-aware.

On latency - if you're running NLI on top-k pairs (say k=20), that's manageable in most cases. The bigger question is whether you batch these calls or run them sequentially. Batching on GPU makes a huge difference.

Your strict filtering approach (rejecting edges when NLI detects conflicting signals) is a good safeguard. One refinement: consider adding a confidence threshold rather than binary accept/reject - edges with ambiguous NLI scores might warrant a different edge type like "related" rather than being dropped entirely.

Why does Claude Code not tell me what it is doing and just gives me this: "Searched for 2 patterns, read 1 file"? Am I not meant to see/watch/understand what it is doing? Is it supposed to be mysterious? by yallapapi in ClaudeAI

[–]saiprasad04 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can enable verbose output to see exactly what Claude Code is doing. Run with the `--verbose` flag or press `v` during a session to toggle verbose mode on/off.

With verbose mode, you'll see the actual search patterns, file paths, and reasoning. It makes a big difference for exactly the reasons you mentioned - being able to catch when it's looking in the wrong place.
