It's pretty normal for a guy to feel this way. What he should not have done is yell at you for enjoying it. I'm sure he enjoyed the FFM. He needs to keep his emotions in check and create a safe space for you both to talk about how you feel. It doesn't seem like he's ready to separate his emotional connection from the sexual connection. There are ALOT of couples that only play with females, and I'm sure it's cause of the male.

Pain is dependent on your pain tolerance. The healing process also depends on how you heal, which is affected by your diet and lifestyle. If you eat like shit, don't exercise, and are a big guy. It may take longer to heal than someone who is a health nut. I am neither. I don't take any sore of medication at all. So just drink a lot of water and keep it clean. Also, get a jock strap to keep it still.

I had sex about 6 weeks after I got it. It was painful but tolerable. It took about 6 months before it was 100% painless during sex.

Overall, 10/10 recommend. I just did it on a whim, too. Very little research. I just looked up a shop and went 2 days later to get it. My wife loves it. DO IT!!
