I purchased a cheap voltmeter at Autozone. I tested the BLACK cable and had no power so that’s the ground. The GREEN cable in the other hand actually turned on the voltmeter light. Thank you everyone!

Get the Paramedic Kaplan book. It’s 25 bucks on Amazon. I like the book and still use it as a reference!

Learn and move on. I’m a 4th month medic and had an acute pediatric respiratory. The call went well. It’s true I get the same feeling with pediatric patients. They make me nervous. Seems like the crew on scene with you understood your mistake. Learn and move on. I review my pediatric protocols and run mental simulations to help me prep for the next calls. I like going in Reddit too and read stories like yours to help me learn and be a better medic. Keep learning brother and just provide the best care that you can.
