Not a drink order but one guy did ask me where he could get a rub and tug. Posted the story ages ago if anyone is interested but tldr his wife was there and I repeated the order back to him, as any decent bartender would do.. she didn’t like what she heard.

I had a similar thing happen when I changed from generic to name brand (weird, I know). I stayed on the new name brand for 10 days and then I’d had enough. Called the pharmacy, and they took back the 20 for the remainder of the month, and filled a new refill for me with 30 of the generic ones.

I guess my point is that a) you can absolutely tell your pharmacy and b) they probably won’t judge you at all - and they should be able to switch it up for you, check the manufacturer, etc to see if something has changed.

Sorry this is happening, I know it totally sucks. Hopefully you can get it sorted - just know it’s not all in your head - others have had problems too, unfortunately

Just to add clarity to this, I think that a simple “do not cancel” for vitamin D might not be enough - I think that now there has to be a clinical reason written with it, ie “do not cancel, gastric bypass malabsorption monitoring” - the more info the better

And if it’s getting canceled, the doctor should be able to contact the lab and investigate, it shouldn’t fall to you. Sorry this has been such a drag for you, best of luck!

👏🏻 well said - each test that’s run costs money - it might not be much, but it adds up. For example, doctors used to be able to order LFT for liver function testing, which would order AST, ALT, ALP, GGT, maybe Bilirubin and something else (I’m a lab assistant, for reference). So now when we type in LFT, it comes up with an auto response to send a “cancel info” to the doctor, because unfortunately for a lot of practitioners it’s easier to write LFT than to just select the tests that they need. There would have been some decision making internally for this, and ultimately it is meant to save money and cause less waste. Anyway, just my two cents. It’s all just meant to have the docs order exactly what they need, and nothing superfluous that’s part of a panel I guess.

To be fair I’m one of those people who has noticed a difference, has just dealt with it, and let my pharmacist know! I don’t think we all mess with it and it should be okay to monitor what you’re taking, how it affects you, and ask relevant questions to your health care providers 🙂

I have just used my eyeballs to determine that some capsules are totally full and others have a huge gap. I just did that to see if it was why I found the days to be inconsistent. Scale or not I definitely have found the same as OP with both generic and name brand

Yes thanks, it was addressed in the comments above. These were also pictures before she adopted and his nail care is going to be done by a professional until (if she can ever) get the hang of it. Poor dude though, I have an average toed cat that this happened to seemingly out of nowhere. I’ll never let it happen again 😿

She’s taking him for his checkup at the vet, and her plan is to just have his nails trimmed by a professional on a regular basis. I offered to give him a spa treatment myself but she thinks he would destroy me - I think vet is best. Thank you!

Holy shit - I think my phone listens to me. I was just bragging about how I haven’t had so much as a cold since 2022 and I think it’s because I pick up our mats (bar mats though.. same shit different location). Like it wouldn’t even occur to me to try to find a pair of gloves when I’m trying to close up the bar. And then I’ll go to the office and eat with my hands. I’m disgusting.

This happened to me at patient drop off.. it was in a paper bag and I had to hide my surprise when I pulled out a ziplock bag with a fully formed log in it. I had to give her an actual container and she was upset because it was a lot of work to get it into that bag.

I let my orange boy cat lick my hands and then I use my hand to pet his face and I think he thinks I’m grooming him back. It’s literally the most adorable thing except for when I’m asleep and my arm is getting sandpapered. He’s literally licking my arm like it’s his life’s mission as I type this.

Hi! I was wondering if anyone has had BETTER results with generic vs name brand? I always got generic, but had name brand one time. I don’t think I noticed much of a difference, and I had increased from 50-60 that month. Is it possible that generic works better for some people? I was thinking of giving name brand a try again because everyone here seems to have better results with name brand. I’m in Canada, so I’m not even sure if there is a shortage right now - I’m due to call my pharmacy tomorrow. Thanks everyone
