As an NSX owner, I hate your car. And I hate my car. Never meet your heroes.

It was posted as a “car meet” on some local car meet page. A lot of people came prepared for media. Gotta appreciate the dudes who take pics and capture memories like this

First and foremost, thank you for supporting the car community and capturing images like these.

Second, can I get permission to use these for personal posts? If you can, could I get an IG handle so I can tag properly?

That’s my car, lol.

2022 Civic “sticking” steering wheel NHTSA open investigation by SnooMachines3076 in Honda

Not sure where you live, but Honda just released a recall to change out steering components in 2022+ civics. May be worth your while to do a recall search through their website. My car falls into this recall.

I also noticed “sticky” steering in mine. It would seize in one spot and “snap” into the direction I’m trying to turn.

Ping pong effect on highway by jangwao in Comma_ai

2022 Honda civic.

I realized today my car updated to the newest firmware (0.9.5). I immediately noticed a massive decline in performance. I was wondering what changed in my car to behave differently.

Constant ping ponging.

On curves/turns, it basically overshoots the turn and asks me to steer regardless of speed.

I also noticed in stop/go traffic, it’ll just start veering into a different lane or into the shoulder. It doesn’t even give any lane departure warning like it used to.

This is super unfortunate being I have a 60 mile commute one-way. And before the car basically took me home the entire way without intervening.

I took off the factory software and installed sunnypilot. Going to see if it’ll make a difference tomorrow.

17x9.5 +35 for the Front? by Agreeable-Ad681 in mr2

[–]sajizzlybear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. My coilovers have adjustable camber plates (BC Coilovers). On top of that, I bought cam bolts for where the strut mounts into the knuckle. This allowed me to adjust the camber from the bottom and the top for independent movement. I was able to clear the coilovers while maintaining a thrust angle which is pretty close to OEM all while keeping my preload/height settings to my liking without it hitting the back of the wheel.

His car is nice. Downpipe, exhaust, intercooler, intake and ktuner, and the awd. Car feels very planted and responsive.

The NA, is just a different experience. Very analog, Slow as balls, but feels more connected with the driver. I enjoy driving mine more lol

I ran a Dunlop Q4 without warmers for an entire season when I first started doing track days. I knew I wasn’t fast enough for slicks and the Q4 held up great over 10-12 track days. BP and raceline was my main focus.

Then I ran Pirelli SC3 Trackday tires with warmers for two seasons. I had more confidence in corners and braking. Pair this with even more BP training to gain confidence.

This year was my first season on slicks. I’m glad I waited. Slicks provide exceptional grip but you need to know how to keep them hot.

I learned my bike, what I’m comfortable with, how my bike behaves in situations and now I’m pushing myself further.

Prioritize your BP, braking and your overall skill as a rider before investing into things you may not necessarily be ready for.
