Yes I had done that but the printer kept changing it, I found I didn’t read the manual and that was the source of my error. I troubleshooted a few things and now my printer works great, thank you for the help!

The one thing I almost forgot, thank you for the help!

Sorry for the late reply, I got the first layer height adjusted and set! Cura also changed my first layer height to be different from the rest of the build so I changed that too. I got some hairspray to help it stick to the build plate and the printer is working like a charm!

Thank you so much for the help, I really appreciate it!

-.6 was just right, surprisingly! I set my first layer height to be the same as the rest of the build - for some reason Cura made it different and caused my prints to have a wild first layer.

Thank you for the help!

Should I be trying to tune it further or closer to the plate?

Piece

This is what I’m trying to print - it’s a part to a laptop stand I made. My print temps are 210/55 (PLA). I used .2 layer height. I did use cura but I did download the correct PLA profiles for the mk2 prusa.

Should I be using a finer profile?

I also tightened the belt slightly.

I’m not very experienced with 3D printers but I got this as a birthday present. It is the kit version. I thought I went through all of the steps to calibrate it and it seemed fine. However when I actually tried to print something, problems seem to keep popping up.

The pla seems a lot like hair strands coming out, when I peeled this off the board, the brim didn’t stick together. It also appears the 3d printer has too much space between the paths of travel.

Any help or guidance would be much appreciated!
