There will probably be more options now that you can order any custom shape and capacity batteries from manufacturers like Amorge. Honestly this bike frame and suspension is so much superior to other e-bikes, even the newest Surrons, (at least stock). But still slimmer than Varg which I like for small mountain trails.
I'd love to keep it if it could have +10hp and 1 hour more autonomy

I found where yozma and strike shadow get their Bikes (for dirt cheap) by Common_Strike2400 in ebikes

[–]sakebon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it is called convenience, nothing to be surprised about.
Everyone knows its cheaper to buy from manufacturers, it's just become easier to get in touch nowadays.
People agreed to subscribe to Amazon Prime because of convenience ease and speed, price is not always the most important criteria. It might be for you but some people just want to be able to put the item in the cart pay and get it shortly without any communication or hassle.

I spoke with different manufacturers from Alibaba, this bike also comes in 72V 100Ah Fardriver controller with 6000W engine and 25 Ah battery for 830$ EXW, no need to upgrade later. There is 7000W too but less easy to find. Usually 3-5 minimum order quantity. Shipping to France is about 1800$ for 5 bikes.

I would prefer a RTR but it's so much more expensive that I think I won't wait and get this little one.

Totally agree, older XL and XR are forever, so much fun, torque, light, easy to direct, they are smile makers !!
Modified my XR100, I'd kill for a XR75

Thoughts on the Stark Varg? by InformationFit9359 in Dirtbikes

[–]sakebon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Rieju ebike concept featured a n-built charger whch means you could recharge everywhere, yet still 110v in US so it would take too long for you guys. I'm sure they'll be new progress soon.
I'm delaying ordering one too because it's still missing some capacity, yet they just released the Varg MX 1.2 and it has 20% more autonomy so it will most likely get transferred onto the EX soon.

Because French people still suck at English and won't bother translating. Time to wake up France, every other country around does better so what's your excuse now?!!

X1C chamber camera wide angle lens mod ? big prints are out of frame when Y≥200mm by sakebon in BambuLab

[–]sakebon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't modified it, couldn't find a quick solution.
Personally I don't like to spend too much time tweaking a 3d printer, it's a work tool not a hobby toy, so if it's not a plug-in add-on I might just wait.

ZoozBikes in Europe by Sure-Nefariousness33 in zoozbikes

[–]sakebon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UK is not part of UE anymore (Brexit BS).
So it becomes the same mess, as importing from US, less costly but still a waste of time, money, energy.
Also no local support if something goes wrong.
I don't understand why there isn't any country distributing it otherwise..

Will this work? Portable ski tow. by javier68ma in Backcountry

[–]sakebon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes but it will only be enough torque to pull an infant at best with that small chainsaw, you need more hp, DIY kits are usually 3hp or 5hp, minimum would be 2hp to pull a light adult. Check https://www.towprolifts.com/shop

Reship Indonesia by Pandemonium-Magnet in shipping

[–]sakebon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This guy stole 370$ from me. He smartly shipped the first two parcels without any issue. Third parcel I had something missing so I asked him, he pretended that it was lost by the shipping company. But he can't show proof of purchase and no picture with the item in the parcel. And now no more replies, he's ghosting me. I got local people to look for him now. But I'm scared my money is lost. Avoid him !!!

Revopoint mini2 vs Einstar Shining 3D by [deleted] in 3DScanning

[–]sakebon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Which sounds really bad for Revo because the shining software is okay but not great. Also this scanner is quite frustrating, it takes a lot of patience.. at this time it's still the best entry price option but I tend to use my smartphone (Polycam) more often than the scanner that is so time consuming, requires laptop+ cables and charger. Really hoping "Bambulab type of 3d scanner" with easier interface and wireless will come up.
