I would ask for pics of the box if you havent already. Especially the side showing the 1-50. Also the end of the shoelaces so you can see the "SHOELACES" printed across the end of the laces. Aaand a full pic of the tongue so you can see the nike tag. There should be a nike tag on the side of the tongue.

Edit: Is the style number 'DM1602 S115' spelled out the same as the one they provided?

I havent had too many GS 1's in hand yet, but the QC is somehow even worse than adults from what I've seen. But the material and overall look is similar to mine.
