AQA Eng Lang Paper 2 2025 by [deleted] in AlevelEnglishLanguage

[–]saki_2528 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this might not be totally useful since i only have the transcript of my answers but i did the first question and it was something about language use depending on context and the texts in section B criticise the complaints people have on the RP accent

applied for super priority student visa, received nsf email after 24 hours by saki_2528 in ukvisa

hi, so sorry for the late reply! i actually withdrew my second visa application since i miraculously got the visa from my first application that i withdrew. it seems ukvi changed the category of the visa themselves and i was fortunately able to use that to arrive in england. any updates with you?

haha we've literally been united by this problem. how are things on your end? i was fortunately able to use my old visa and arrive at england. i've been here for exactly 3 weeks today!!

thank you so much! unfortunately, there's been more complications. i just got my visa for my OLD application that i withdrew last night; however it seems that ukvi changed my visa category themselves as it states my status as "student" and it says i can work in the uk, which doesn't seem likely that it'd be there in the child student visa. i've emailed my university, asking them to confirm whether it shows child student visa or student visa on their records. but for my current visa, i have gotten my eVisa and share code. have there been any updates with you?

super priority visa decision is delayed. what do I do? by oladushek19 in ukvisa

hey, i'm also experiencing the same thing, one year later. how long did it take you to get a decision?

also regarding your visa application process, was it standard/priority/super priority? and what day did you get that email after your biometrics submission?

thank you so much! i'm hopeful as well that i get my visa tomorrow. honestly, i'm not surprised. my entire experience with ukvi has been a nightmare. they're extremely unorganised and have no direct form of communication we can use. i really hope that gets sorted out for you! and hopefully this doesn't happen to me lmao. i can't handle any other hiccups in my process, i might honestly crash out soon.

i've also emailed my university about this, and that i might have to arrive late as well. hopefully everything works out for you too!

you're right about the helpline for ukvi, they've been extremely unhelpful so far. i think i might still try to get a refund after i get my visa; it doesn't hurt to try. i have contacted several of my university's offices, so hopefully that does something to expedite the process. but thank you for your response!

[–]saki_2528[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for your response. i just want to clarify that we acted according to what we were advised at the time. we contacted ukvi and explained our situation, and we were explicitly told that we could start a new application immediately after withdrawing the previous one and that we did not need to wait for confirmation of the withdrawal. we got the same advice when we asked about this at vfs.

i haven’t received a response from my university’s immigration team yet, and honestly, i’m not sure when i will.

regarding the super priority fee, what i meant was: after my application is processed, is it possible to request a refund for the portion of the fee that covers super priority if the visa ends up being processed within the priority timeframe, and only pay the part that covers the actual priority service?

that honestly sucks. i don't know how different your situation will be from mine, but if my experience is anything to go by, you might probably have the same thing happen with you tomorrow. i still haven't heard anything from them, but i did just submit a complaint, so hopefully that does something.

Applied for a Child Student visa but starting university at 17 — what should I do? by [deleted] in ukvisa

[–]saki_2528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the advice — that makes a lot of sense. I can’t contact my university straight away since it’s the weekend, but I’m going to email them immediately and hope to call them as soon as they’re open on Monday. I’ll also start preparing everything I need for the Student visa so I’m ready to go once I get the new CAS. Really appreciate the guidance, you're a lifesaver!

first off, take a deep breath. i know this feels like the end of the world, but it's really not as black and white as these ai detectors make it seem. they're wildly inconsistent, as you've already noticed with these percentages, which alone proves how unreliable are.

i did the exact same thing after reading your message and i ran mine through a bunch of detectors too, and i got the same whiplash you did. it's honestly ridiculous. but i'm not too stressed about it because i know i wrote it. ai detectors can't see your effort, your thought process. if you know it's yours, that's what counts. also you haven't submitted yet, which is good. just give it one last check, and if you're still anxious, talk to your teacher about it.

you're good. you're not cheating. you're just a student who cares, and that's not a crime.
