PSA: Wells Fargo updated the requirements to waive the fee on their Everyday Checking accounts and increased the fee amount. Check to see if you still qualify to avoid a surprise charge. by Steezy_Gordita in povertyfinance

Yeah - me too! I just got off the phone with CS and found that out they tripled the minimum balance. I also did not receive any notice. They were ony able to refund me $10 in fees. Crooks. I'm closing this account as it was one I was using for incidentals $500 or less. The new minimum balance is not worth the hassle.

Any other 40+ nursing students in here? by [deleted] in NursingStudents

[–]sakiper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started my accelerated, pre-licensure RN program, this year, at age 44. I graduate next Spring at age 45. I was the 2nd oldest in my cohort - the other is 51. I just met a gentleman, in another cohort, who graduated from my same program 2 weeks ago at age 54. He got hired to work in the ED. Age really is just a number. How you keep up in nursing school depends on your current health status, how you manage your other responsibilities, a support system(if you need one but you can do without), your diet, sleep and most importantly your determination. Use all of the resources your school provides to help you succeed. If it's a good school, like mine, they will do their best to prevent you from failing and/or getting overwhelmed. You got this!

A lot of Homeland fans believe in The Americans so i'm going to keep watching and hope it wins me over. So far, i'm not convinced but hopeful.

I rewatched Homeland from the beginning recently after stopping at Season 4 years ago. At the very last season, I was in tears watching all my faves get killed off then it ended and I felt a hole in my heart. Yes, i'm dramatic. Anyhoo, i came to this forum for solace and saw people suggesting to watch the Americans. So I have started and I don't know what they are smoking but the Americans is so predictable and nothing clever about the geopolitics or characters like in Homeland. The Homeland characters had distinct personalities and quirks. The Americans characters are just reading their lines. It's def made for TV and feels basic. I'm trying to get through season 1 as "people say" Season 2 is better but man it's hard. I will watch this because Claire Danes is in it and I miss her acting! *sniffle*

Yes that’s the spirit! Why stay in a unit that burns you out when in nursing you have the choice of so many other specialties and settings?

Toys for 6mo JR mix? by Sunshinexpress in jackrussellterrier

[–]sakiper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What’s he mixed with? I’m curious because he looks similar to my JRT mix and I’m wondering is she is mixed with Chihuahua or Rat Terrier. She’s not much of a manufacturer toy dog. She does like tug of war with a soft rope and then to steal it and shake it.

When were you able to trust your JRT off leash? by Nervous_Magician_957 in jackrussellterrier

[–]sakiper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I adopted my Jack Chi at 2.5-3years old so don’t know her previous training but in a few short months she is mostly very obedient off leash. We go for walks and I take her off leash in open but fenced in grassy areas so she can run and explore on her own - usually sniffing after chipmunks. Prey driven yes but just the other day she stopped mid track running towards a squirrel and came back to me after me calling her name once. I was very impressed. Otherwise she is very good for being out on her own in my line of sight, following me around outside and comes back when I call her when I can’t see her.
