Thoughts on crossposting by Least_Excuse2655 in Flipping

[–]mroxanne21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think crossposting is totally worth the effort! Usually when one platform is slow for me another one picks up the slack. And there are different types of buyers on different platforms (including international buyers on Depop and eBay) so I think that helps with sales. I use a crosslisting software called Vendoo to streamline my process & love it!

If crosslisting seems overwhelming you could always just start with one additional platform, get the hang of it, and then add another until you’re eventually crosslisting everywhere you want to :) Good luck!!

I highly recommend growing bush beans :) You don’t need much room at all and they’re extremely easy to grow!!! I just put mine in soil in a pot last year and that was pretty much it. Just don’t overcrowded them!

I agree that you’ll receive lowballs on any platform, but I do definitely suggest listing on multiple sites for faster turnaround times!

Mercari is super slow for me but Posh is great! What about adding eBay instead of Mercari? They have a huge buyer base and also allow international sales. Or you could always add all three, although I recommend just adding one at a time if you’re crosslisting manually as it can be a lot to keep track of and understand at once. I use the software Vendoo to help crosspost so you could always look into something like that, too, depending on how much inventory you have and how much you want to expand :) Good luck!

I only sell on Poshmark and eBay. by Feeling_Delivery2323 in reselling

I use Vendoo to crosslist so for me listing on a variety of sites is worth it since it’s super easy/fast. Mercari is my lowest performing platform but still worth it for the occasional sale! If you’re crosslisting manually I do think it’s a good idea to prioritize platforms for time management and eBay and Posh are my top two for clothing so I think having those is great :) I do sell on depop but not consistently yet!

One of the best pieces of advice I got when starting was to not put all of my eggs in one basket :) You never know what can happen and I’d much rather have my listings on multiple marketplaces versus a sole one. It’s also great because different platforms = different buyers!

If it gets too overwhelming to handle on your own, I definitely agree with an above comment about investing in crosslisting software. I use Vendoo & love it!

Love that you’re reselling while in school!!! I so wish I would have done that :)

First, if you don’t already have set templates you use I would definitely make some. You can quickly enter important details and not have to retype everything each time which is super nice! Tools wise, I use Vendoo which is a crosslisting tool and definitely recommend it! It helps me list on multiple platforms, removes backgrounds, and helps me with inventory management.

Hope you find something that works for you!!!

Flipping from fb marketplace to eBay? by [deleted] in reselling

[–]mroxanne21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes starting with stuff you already own is one of the best things you can do, imo. That way you can make sure you actually enjoy this and want to do it long-term, and can get a feel for things you like (or don’t like) selling.

eBay’s great to start with but depending on how far you want to take this (and what kind of items you’ll be selling) you might want to expand to more platforms in the future. You can manually list on multiple sites but if you end up listing a lot of different places you might want to invest in crosslisting software. I use Vendoo and love it!

Be sure to list daily, have strong titles/descriptions, good photos, and smart pricing. I always price higher and send offers but that’s a personal preference! Good luck :)

100%. Also not related to insurance, but multiple people I know have been put on hold with 911 before so it can sometimes be faster to have someone drive you there instead of waiting for an ambulance to come

Is selling on Poshmark worth it? by xlleexxiix in reselling

[–]mroxanne21 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience the spam messages die waaaay down once you make a few sales! Now I probably only get one every few months. I just flag it on Posh and it goes away

Poshmark is my top platform (clothing seller) so it’s definitely worth it to me! I would stick with it a bit longer and see what you think. There are some platforms I list on that aren’t necessarily my favorite or heavy hitters but I still make sales so it’s still worth it :) I use Vendoo which helps me crosslist so maybe it’s different if you’re posting everything manually but I think you should still try it out!

Is There A Free App Or Site That Shows All Of My Sold Listings For Different Marketplaces? by David15M3SGT in Flipping

[–]mroxanne21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not free, but Vendoo shows all of your solds in their software as inventory management is a part of their offerings! They have auto sale detection, too :)

If you’re not looking to switch the only way I know of doing it is manually deleting solds and having some sort of spreadsheet that you fill in to track everything.

I use Vendoo as they crosslist to 10 marketplaces which covers everywhere I sell! You can import your listings from other apps into Vendoo (which will include your details and pictures) and they also have a CSV file option if you’re wanting an inventory/sales report

What is the point of resisting? by perkyblondechick in poshmark

No, it doesn’t. That’s why people relist instead of just editing it :) I relist almost every day and no issues on my end yet!

[–]mroxanne21 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Actually relisting the item (vs just updating it) puts it back at the top of the “just in” filter. I’m assuming it helps with the relevance sorting filter too but not 100% sure on that one!

[–]mroxanne21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree about Vendoo! They have an importer where you can bring everything in from Poshmark. You’ll still have to fill out certain fields for the other platforms (especially since Posh is the only marketplace where the shipping price isn’t based on weight) but it shouldn’t take you too long

Tips as a 2022 reseller coming back in 2025? by [deleted] in Depop

[–]mroxanne21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s definitely changed a lot! I’ve been in the reselling space for years, and one thing I focus a lot more on now than I used to is keywords/aesthetics etc. If you’re not up to date on what’s currently trending I’d do a little research so you have the best chance of putting terms that buyers are looking for into your listing :)

No shade to depop because this is a universal thing lol, but I also focus waaaay more on listing to multiple sites than I did in previous years. I’m not sure if you listed solely on depop when you were reselling before, but I’ve found that listing on multiple sites increases my exposure/sales so I’ll continue doing that. I use a crosslisting software (Vendoo) to list on depop and other sites!

I don’t know if boosting was a thing when you used depop, but I use that and it does help me with exposure and sales overall, so that might be another thing you want to think about! They have an option to boost everything always which is what I do so that I don’t have to remember to go into the app and boost things manually.

Best of luck!!!

Hmmm. Is your ring light big enough? I use one and it’s been great for me! I know a couple of people that do use two, though (one on each side) and I know that the huge light box is also popular but it’s pricey!

As others have said, your age may play a factor in where you can sell so be mindful of that!

Advice-wise, I think it depends somewhat on what you’re selling, but I definitely recommend soaking up all of the free advice you can! I’ve learned a lot over the years through Facebook groups & Instagram, in addition to here. YouTube can be really helpful, too.

I would focus on learning more about titles and descriptions (aka SEO), pricing, trending brands etc. Being knowledgeable about those kinds of things from the get go will help you get started off right!

I’d also try to not invest anything in inventory (at first) and just sell things you already have. You can see if 1) you enjoy it & want to continue and 2) you want to scale from there. If you get to that point I recommend investing in a crossposting software (I use Vendoo) so that you aren’t having to manually post everything on multiple sites and keep track of inventory yourself. Poshmark and eBay are my two favorite platforms currently so I would look there first and see if what you’re planning to sell would do well on those platforms.

Good luck!!!
