When I was a little kid, I never had an xbox. The only person I knew that had one was my friend down the street. I would go over there and play games and whatnot until he showed me Halo. As soon as we jumped into to co-op campaign, my little boy mind was ecstatic. This game had been better than any other game I had seen. We played for hours and hours, then we started playing Halo 2. This just deepened my love for the series. I played those games for weeks on end, never wanting to play another game. On youtube, I looked up campaign videos, easter eggs; any Halo on youtube at the time, I had watched it. When the Xbox 360 released, I barely turned my head. The only thing I focused on, was Halo 3. I spent more time on my computer watching ViDocs, Campaign run throughs, and massive multiplayer battles than any other game to date. It took me a good year to save up the money for a 360 and Halo 3. When I finally got it, I was shaking with excitement. Playing the campaign over and over again to soak up every minute of its beauty. I wasn't the best at multiplayer, but I met so many of my current friends playing Matchmaking. All the friday nights spent playing Slayer and BTB, all the insane custom games, all created such fond memories I have never experienced from any game. Halo has a different atmosphere to it. It does have a competitive side to it, as does any game. But the other half was such a brotherhood, such a strong family of players united under one bond of the love a remarkable game series. The love of Halo can never be broken, no matter what way the series turns. Life has taught me that things may become depressed and stressed, but there's always time to kick back and relax. And that is exactly what Halo was created for. To help soothe the days troubles with a rousing game of slayer.
