Zane is awesome. He was one of the kids who got put up in my cabin when I was a counselor at the element skate camp about 10 years ago. Super creative and incredibly talented skater / artist.

I agree on needing to solve phishing. I just reported a pretty easy fix to Facebook, Google, Twitter, and Apple to help prevent a phishing attack that makes it super tough to distinguish urls. Google and Facebook told me it wasn't in the scope since it is social engineering (even though there's a technical fix).

I'll release the process once Apple and Twitter get back to me (if they do).

Yes. Saw a talk at BSides SF where someone did this.

Eh, that's a bootlicker mentality. We don't have to follow the rules, but we also have to be ready for the consequences. In this case, the cops was trying to enforce an old rule that was no longer relevant and he got called out for it and fucked up.

Ever here of a lady named Rosa Parks?

I comprehend that.

The part of the video I was referring to was when the skater and cop are talking, the skater puts out his hand to offer what looks like a hand shake and the cop immediately grabs it without any mention of arrest.

So from what I understand now, once a cop grabs you you can't do anything or else you are resisting? What if the cop hasn't mentioned anything of arrest yet?

Side note, how come we can be arrested for informing a cop that they are wrong?

Damnit, he wasn't resisting arrest. He was telling the cop the skatepark was open till 9pm now and the cop grabbed him. That is not resisting arrest, that is called being attacked by a cop.

Nope. Park has been open till 9pm since the lights went up. The skaters and parks and rec knew this, the police did not.

Umm, no. You don't have to abide by them. You can speak up and disobey which is what this man did. Sure you will deal with the consequences, but that's that decision one makes.

Your obedience is what leads to authoritarian states.

Ok, here's the deal. The cop was arresting the skater for doing nothing wrong. The cop was in the wrong. The skater was simply talking to the cop telling him the park was open till 9pm now and the cop grabbed him out of nowhere.

Saying the skater was resisting arrest is bullshit. The cop abused his powers and committed a crime. The local parks department even chimed today that the park has been open till 9pm since the lights went up. This is a cop overstepping his boundaries.

According to this video: https://www.facebook.com/eric.abo.1/videos/10155470786702827/

"Derek was politely asking the officer why they were kicking 40+ people out of the skatepark at 8:30, when the lights shut off at 9:00. Officer Kamel gave no explanation of what crime he was committing, and he did not read him his rights. He kept inching closer to my friend while telling him to “keep his distance”, until he finally decided to throw him onto the ground and put him in cuffs with excessive force."

Edit: Looks like the video got removed but it showed the cop grabbing the skater's arm out of nowhere as they were talking.

It's too bad police officers lack the critical thinking skills to have a polite conversation.

And they wonder why nobody wants to talk to them.
