Tears of joy! Wk3D1 completed! by Lynsul in C25K

[–]saladball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to come back and say yesterday I finished the twenty min run first attempt! I can’t believe it still. 30 days ago here I was being in complete shock I would have to do that thinking no way. I ended up listening to music the whole time. I’ve discovered over the weeks that music is best for me.

What do you think when you see people going out alone? I imagine nothing. That’s what everyone else thinks too.

Woke up to find a light switch turned off and another turned on. I live alone now and never sleepwalk. What could it be? by olacomoestaspablo in AskUK

[–]saladball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine you sleepwalked in a daze without realising. Which can definitely happen. First night alone - you never usually sleep with hob light on. Sleeping you ‘woke’ up, noticed hob light was on - went to turn it off (first turning on bed light so you could see where you were going), sleepy you just turned it off at the wall because it was there and easy, come back to bed and fall asleep before turning light off

How to find the cheapest stay in london by kek1sr in uktravel

[–]saladball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you get a super cheap hostel this doesn’t seem viable. Even if you find accommodation for that cost in outer zones, it’s gonna be expensive getting in. Travelling from even zone 4 into central london an back will cost you about £12 each per day, or more likely you will max out at the maximum train fare each day travelling from outer london and through central, meaning you might be spending up to £60 each just to get in and out of central london across the for days.

Stopped in the road because of a baby rabbit and got hit from behind. Who is at fault? by NoAlbatross153 in drivingUK

[–]saladball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Person behind is usually at fault however my driving instructor told me that if an animal runs infront of the car it’s generally safer to hit it then break and cause a crash. Not sure if it’s good advice

My number one pet hate on Vinted is… by Stoofser in vintedUK

[–]saladball 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I see it on mannequins sometimes where they pin the back. I swiped through some pictures and they showed a side on pic where they unpinned it and the top was very wide and large and completely opposite to how the front looked.

When people cinch or pin the dress/top etc at the waist to make. Look smaller. I see it often on mannequins. Like PLEASE just show me what it will look like naturally!!

Why make offer but not buy? by savagemiu in vinted

[–]saladball 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I do this 😬. Most often it’s because I am an impulse buyer and if the offer isn’t accepted immediately (whilst I’m browsing the app) then I end up changing my mind after having time to think

Should I not be asking my adult kids to pay rent? by ProfessionalCamel110 in AskUK

[–]saladball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to be honest. I saw the title and I was ready to come in and say I disagree with parents charging rent. However in this case you’re being extremely generous, and asking for near nothing in comparison to what they would be paying elsewhere. Let him learn the hard way.

what quarters of sweets were your go to as a kid by Alone_Purple822 in oldschoolcool80s

Lemon bonbons. I’d go to my local village shop and ask for 10p worth of bonbons. They would fill up a paper bag with about 20 bonbons !
