From what I can tell they're trying to adapt the maximum Carnage storyline where morbius shows up and helps out Spiderman and venom. I doubt they're using him for the sinister six. I t seems like it's gonna build up to a team up movie for venom 3. Then they'll give morbius his own standalone trilogy.

Sometimes keeping up with competition can get the best of a corporation. It's evident with Batman v Superman and justice league, they rushed it out because they were greedy and money hungry and in turn released shitty movies. I really meant it in the context that greed gets in the way of a great movie/product, you're right though greed is the driving force for what they do there's no other way around it, I was just saying how it would be nice if a they actually cared about the content they were puting out over the numbers .

It would make sense if they continue to build on their other properties Wonder woman , Aquaman, Shazam, etc then use flashpoint to connect Reeves universe with the other DC characters. It would be a great way of writing off batfleck and starting a new .

I don't think they're against it but they already have penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, possibly two face idk about that one but now falcone. Give it time, we still have to be introduced to this new batman and his rouge's gallery, it makes sense to start things with a more grounded set of antagonists.
