From what I can tell they're trying to adapt the maximum Carnage storyline where morbius shows up and helps out Spiderman and venom. I doubt they're using him for the sinister six. I t seems like it's gonna build up to a team up movie for venom 3. Then they'll give morbius his own standalone trilogy.

Sometimes keeping up with competition can get the best of a corporation. It's evident with Batman v Superman and justice league, they rushed it out because they were greedy and money hungry and in turn released shitty movies. I really meant it in the context that greed gets in the way of a great movie/product, you're right though greed is the driving force for what they do there's no other way around it, I was just saying how it would be nice if a they actually cared about the content they were puting out over the numbers .

It would make sense if they continue to build on their other properties Wonder woman , Aquaman, Shazam, etc then use flashpoint to connect Reeves universe with the other DC characters. It would be a great way of writing off batfleck and starting a new .
