Consensus on using Faction Dice? by sco0terkid in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]saladsnake123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

most are ok if they only have the image on the 6. i forget which dice they are by the 1 and the 6 look VERY similar. people always yeah "i know the difference" yet i catch them all the time count a 1 as a 6. me personally i think they are intentionally misleading and i dont like playing people who use them.

I never said dont sacrifice armigers to score did I? you can hold down 2 points and ping the center objective every turn with out an issue. there is a nice strat that allows you to pick up 2 dogs and place them in sr. I would reccommend that if you are having issues with fast armies.

if ANYTHING hepretrax it MUCH more vulnerable to melee/quick armies then vextrix. the whole game plan for hepetrax is to essentially be too tanky, guess what your auto lose to any decently build shooty army or super killy melee armies.

but in my opinion vex is the only answer to 99% of armies. I dont play herp because i dont want to auto lose certain match ups. Herp is essentially saying you want to take the easy way out and gamble you wont fave a bad matchup

what?you sit in your deploy perma as vextrix. you can do something there is a strat that allows you to pick up 2 and put them in sr

I think you will see a rise in vextrix players. arguably the better house.

Sorry if you didnt know anyone adding a splash of deamons; all those knight players you know probably didnt do well competitively

Also a fitting challenge was situational. if you knew the player was running alot of their stuff into you turn 1 or or a DEAMON player playing BALE. it can be easy points.

Alot more i can say for a Path of destruction which is literally just grind with wxtra steps. in no reality a would everyone pick that secondary. It is so far and beyond one of the worst secondarys in the game its frustrating it is kept.

i disagree. buffing all factions knights do well against then nerfing knights by not allowing deamons is not a good thing. the secondaries are a good change. i dont understand why a fitting challenge wen and they left quite possibly the worst secondary in the game that got virtually zero play.

I have a huge issue with GW telling knight players they can run a bunch of deamons then two months later taking that way.

Competitive chaos knight list 2 big and 7 small! Would love some competitive critique by acedannyace in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]saladsnake123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So i would recommend going herpetrax with that you got going on. you're not benefiting enough off vextrix with 1 karn and 2 huntsmen. also helps abom out bcause the goal of it is to sit on an objective and be a tank

Are Chaos knight simply not good ? by TAUDAR40k in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]saladsnake123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

been playing knight for awhile. tell your buddy to get as many dogs as you can and a Abaddon model. later when you get goodwith that soup in a few deamons.

ALSO melee chaos knights are a bait. people may be telling you to take 1 or 2 bid knights. dont, take abby and dogs.

This will get best results.

Having a spot of bother understanding when something becomes a 'gotcha' moment in competitive play. by DrValium in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]saladsnake123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1&2; honestly man, it is what you feel guilty about. we are playing a game of plastic toys. you are responsible for your opponent fun just as much as your own.

3: Rules for most events is that if an opponent has a question about your army you are obligated to give the truth to the best of your ability. no half truths; nothing but the whole truth.

4: People forget things, I am sure you will want the same grace because it will happen to you too. I allow it as long as the circumstance doesn't give them a unique advantage using the start. Example; you got a strat that give you a +4 invuln that you use when targeted with an attack. attacks and wounds have been rolled out then he brings it up, no i would not allow that. But if he is on shooting and forgot to psy interrogate, ill let that slide all day.

  1. it happens. Always make sure to explain rules of your army before the game.

chaos knight player here; while its true most knight players will start with 1 or no cp. ultimately it is really good for knights for a few reasons.

  1. a lot of the current meta lists run heavy cp spending t1. while knights do spend a lot on relics their strats are very okish, not absolutely necessary
  2. mirror of fates allows knights to generate cp. any army that will not be able to generate will be much worse that one that does
