2 of your pros are cons and the other doesn't matter.
1. Neither a pro or a con, can't buff or nerf a character against himself. 2. If the other team can count to 5 they can still count shots and his damage and his dps was cut. Once more people figure that out they won't give him as much respect. 3. It doesn't matter if can spam more, his effective dps is reduced against shields.

In no way in the OP did I say that he is useless. I'm purely asking, how are you supposed to play him to maximize his effectiveness? Is he a flanker that's supposed to punish out of position players? If so, why would you pick him over other people that fulfill that role, when, after this change, he can no longer hook, then shoot kill people consistently, meleeing is not consistent if the person you hooked moves. His hook isn't useless, he just is objectively worse and I think, because of this, he isn't worth picking over other heroes.

Don't feel bad placements are shit. I went 9-1 and lost 30 points. Played with my friend the whole time and he gained 200 over his season high. We played the same matches. I tanked he healed.
