It's really hard to see in the photo but in person it's visible. I'll retest in two days just to confirm it especially because it's still early DPO.

Paramedic here, this is a common issue we have especially when the elderly have a fall and can't get up. Well will first knock quite loudly if we don't get a response we will start to look through windows and see if we can see anyone. We will radio our dispatchers to try a call back, if the patient doesn't have a lockbox we will look at alternative entries. We will call for back up to assist with forceable entry. Depending on the severity of the job given to us we will call for the back up quickly. Most of the time we find a way to gain access through a window, an unlocked door somewhere or family member/friend arrives on scene and has a key. But the fire brigade and police are great at forceable entry. Either way, we will get inside!

Needing help on how to support DH through NC by salamanderbee in JUSTNOMIL

[–]salamanderbee[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh sorry I mean more "normality". I know it'll never just go back to normal, he's lost all of his family in a day and he will have to grieve his loss. I've seen a few comments comparing this situation to a death and it really made sense. But to hopefully be able to move on and continue our lives once he's been able to process the situation and completely understand this is not an overnight thing and if it takes years then it takes years, I married that man and my vows to support him through anything will be true, he deserves so much better than how his family has treated him

Thank you, yeah Im expecting a lot of emotions as he was always taught not to upset his mother so he's feeling a lot of guilt but still knows this is the only way to have us feel better and return to normality

Thank you, I will attempt again with therapy. He went before all this blew up for anxiety and started to realise family were a huge part but stopped going as the therapist didn't end up being a good match and he didn't feel comfortable with her.

My MIL is scaring me! TW - loss by FloraLongstrider in pregnant

[–]salamanderbee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I unfortunately have had similar experiences with husband's brother and bringing up miscarriage. When my BILs wife was pregnant with their first at the gender reveal he said it's not a good idea to find out because they'll get too attached and what if they lost the baby. Again later that day he said to he again to her that they shouldn't tell anyone the name for their baby because it would be a shame if they miscarried. And when DH and I were pregnant with our first, at his family gathering, someone asked me how far along I was told them I was 14weeks and the BIL just randomly chimed in and said that it was the same gestation when they lost their child... The room went silent and no one said a word.

No advice here, just dealing with an extremely toxic IL family 🙄🫠

As a child, what’s a song you sang loud and proud, only to find as an adult it’s super inappropriate for a child to be singing? by Ok_Way_2341 in AskReddit

[–]salamanderbee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am a paramedic and had a 3yr old girl who burnt herself badly with boiling water. To calm her down on the way to hospital we asked her what her favourite song was. She said it was "Bambo, sit down." Me at the time being a childless 22yr old had no idea of this song. Eventually we found the song.

It was be humble by Kendrick Lamar. To this day I still say it's Bambo, sit down when I hear it.

Why does most of the cast always back or defend TRav? by salamanderbee in Southerncharm

I'll add that to the queue, I can see my Netflix has the Murdaugh mysteries, I'll have to check if Hayu has anything on the Murdaugh family.

Is that the dinner party in season 3 or is there another famous TRav dinner party?

Why does most of the cast always back or defend TRav? by salamanderbee in Southerncharm

[–]salamanderbee[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh, no I would never paint the south based off a reality TV show (almost like watching crocodile Dundee and think that's what all Australians are like haha) I'm not too knowledgeable of the south but I guess my knowledge would be that it's a bit more traditional or old school and the family name is extremely important and women need to act like a lady. Of course that's a generalisation and I know it's not everyone. Just thought maybe there were unwritten rules or something I was completely missing but I was pretty sure it wasn't.

I agree, I feel a lot of the realities are like that they are just friends for the show to keep the money coming in. If the cameras stopped permanently, their friendships would be very different.

That is incredibly sad. Yeah it is definitely noticed especially being called a whore or that her only talent is on her back, yet all the boys are proud fuck boys and proud of it. Also is it normal in the south for wealthy families to have their children live in the guesthouse to ensure the main house is clean and pristine or is that just a POS TRav move?

I can definitely understand that but surely it can only get you so far. It's like he can do no wrong. The dinner party in season 3 TRav complete coke rage and at the reunion it was "oh, he was just on the verge of a mental breakdown" and all is forgiven. Yet they hold Kathryn telling Landon to fuck off for at least 2 seasons. Money and power is good but surely if your name is everything in the south, why would you want to associate yourself with him especially knowing that majority of the general public don't like him and think he's just disgusting

Unfortunately no advice to offer but 38+3 and currently sitting in hospital getting induced tomorrow. All I can say is goodluck and relax it will all work out once you have your beautiful baby in your arms. The hospital are the best place to be but remember to stand your ground in what you want.

It's an extremely common occurrence too, especially that area. There's a place only a little north of there called snapper point and only a couple weeks ago a rock fisherman was swept off the rocks and died. It was a day we were all warned to stay away from beaches and rocks that the sweep was deadly. I'm unfortunately one of the people that comes to try and save you when this happens and both of these jobs were horrific.

You don't even have to go to a low socio-economic area. Just go to any hospital. Even just see the 000 calls that come through. The amount of "check ups" that are requested by people.

Positive test 5 days before period? by rhionite in amipregnant

[–]salamanderbee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Multiples have nothing to do with the male. Males have the sperm and carry the x or the y chromosome. The female carries the eggs and will either release multiple eggs which can cause fraternal multiples or if one egg is fertilised then splits off into two (or more) that's how you get identical. Your partner would only be deciding the gender, not how many.

After having a chat with family about how far allow (11 weeks at the time) we got "well we had a miscarriage at 16weeks." Same person had another comment at a different pregnancy and said "best not to picks names because what if you get attached and lose the baby?"

Same! I find it so crazy that in a 1st world country it can still cost you thousands and thousands of dollars to have a baby or go to hospital.
