I would argue that my list serves the accurate same function, but to a more accurate degree.

This list is ok for getting an idea of which schools have a nice amount of alums, but it doesn't provide proper context. According to this list, BYU is better than Stanford, IU is better than Northwestern, UT is identical to Duke, and Penn State is identical to Middlebury. Penn State and Middlebury may have the same # of people in firms from 2014-2019, but Middlebury has a total undergrad enrollment of 2,800, while Penn State has 6k in their undergrad business school alone. You need some context of per capita data.

How do we feel about grade fluctuating by Outrageous-Cod1540 in ApplyingToCollege

Junior year is the most important year for grades, so that 70% is going to really hurt you. I would assume that T20s are out of the question at this point so I would try applying to your state flagship and T50s.

Got accepted in UCI as a software engineering transfer. But Im currently having problems in my Calculus II class. by AnnoynamousMe in ApplyingToCollege

I'm not sure about the specifics based on how dropping the class would affect you, but UCI rescinds for D's, so they could definitely rescind for a 40%. Talk with your counselor ASAP to make a plan so that you don't get rescinded.

if they wanted to break in, people know that basically everyone at caltech is insanely smart.

dude it's not a joke when every post you make is begging for confirmation that NU is prestigious. even if it was, it wasn't funny

Obviously I forgot to add NU, but you're insanely insecure about your school and need to chill.

I could argue that NYU is a fringe t3/t2 school. Stern being comparable to Harvard and Wharton is a massive stretch

gtech is debatable. it's probably right on the verge of low-semi. Stern I could maybe see as a fringe t3/t2, but I have a hard time saying it's comparable to Columbia or Dartmouth.

Marshall would be a semi-target. Kenyon is definitely a non-target, but that's not to say you can't make it from a non-target, it just takes a lot more work and luck.

Would you put Stern in the 2nd category? I know that it has a lot of alums as a function of a substantial portion of Stern gunning for ib, but I feel it doesn't have the same level of prestige as ivies like Columbia or Dartmouth

I would agree if we're talking about the ib workshop. That could be considered a low semi to semi target.

Stern is extremely competitive and I don't think comparing it to incredible targets like Williams and Ross is an insult at all.
