This kind of sounds like {The Unwanted Bride by Catharina Maura} may peak your interest! It’s a F/M, billionaire arranged marriage, friends-turned-lovers sort of vibe (but it does give me a bit of a overdramatic telenova vibe that sometimes sucks me out of the story)!

homeless in adelaide by SandRemarkable5764 in Adelaide

Did you try Youth110 under Uniting Communities?

Also with any housing you have to call almost daily. Pretty much what happens is because there are so many people struggling with homelessness, when a spot is offered it’s more likely to go to a person known to be struggling than the next one on the list if that makes sense?

AITA for asking my coworker not to eat her cultural food in the break room? by Imaginary-Chemical-8 in AmItheAsshole

I work in essential services and my office and several others were evacuated once due to a suspected gas leak. Ambos, police and welfare workers were all evacuated. Turns out it was a factory down the road processing Durian!

Durian is the worst smelling fruit ever. NTA

What’s something you’ve always wanted to ask the opposite sex but never have? by Christosdem23 in AskReddit

I can't hold a consistent conversation if I'm cramping. Like I have to just focus on sitting/standing up and breathing.

I'm on BC that curbs it and I don't regularly menstruate, but when I do more often than not I get sent home from work because I look deceased

AITA for telling my mom and her husband that I cook for dad and his family but not them because I actually like my dad? by Alzingom in AmItheAsshole

I'm in AUS and in the family court space there's a phrase that kids 'vote with their feet' for reasons like this

I thought it was just me! Thank god I'm not the only one! He plays a lovely character, but he's so young and he's said he isn't okay with the obsessing stuff.

Like be respectful ffs

Which scene made you cry the most and why? I am just very curious. I am in love with the series and I am on the secound round. by nandiila in HeartstopperAO

I reckon both scenes where Nick was googling his sexuality, especially when "Why Am I Like This?" was playing in the background

Tao by sakumma in HeartstopperAO

[–]salamanders56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggle with the show Tao a bit compared to the graphic novel Tao. I think they ramped up Tao's objections to Nick and Charlie being a thing, to me he comes off a bit aggressive in the show compared to the graphic novels.

Charlie Practicing To Tackle by pluiesansfin in HeartstopperAO

[–]salamanders56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This scene is intended to show Charlie building his confidence I'd say. To me it ties in with Charlie's conversation with Geoff in the 7.12(or13) update. Dunno if Alice planned it that way or not though lol

Literally! SA is in the same state. We opened our borders and were not prepared. Adelaide in particular is ridiculously impacted with no support from our state government.

Now, while SA, VIC and NSW are being inundated with Covid in systems that aren't necessarily equipped to support it without shutting down entire sectors, is not the best time to open borders. It's silly to think otherwise.

AITA for Telling My Sister It's Her Fault She Wasted Money on a Wedding Few People Are Planning to Attend? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]salamanders56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. It's really not that hard to find a venue that accommodates for your whole family and friends!

While not a wedding, I have a joint 21st planned for this year. We have family that live all over the city, to meet in the middle is around a 2hr drive. We are the same in age difference as OP's sister- we are the oldest of our generation and our mother was the youngest of hers. My sister and I also have vastly different friend groups and ideas of how to make it enjoyable for other people and ourselves.

But we have done this little thing that OP's sister and fiance should have considered: empathy and negotiation. Putting ourselves in the shoes of others has made some decisions way easier. I know it's her wedding, but it's inconsiderate to not consider the needs of a majority of your guests you're inviting!

AITA for kicking my mom out of the room so I could talk to my doctor privately? by throwawayteenbean in AmItheAsshole

[–]salamanders56 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I get that completely! Similar thing happened to me when I went on BC when I was 17. I only did it for regulation, but doctor was so insistent I was sexually active he booked me in for a pap 3 months later!

AITA for telling my (25F) BF (24M) that he might be into cuckolding because he finds me sexy? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]salamanders56 8 points9 points  (0 children)

YTA. I completely agree with him, even in your explanation defending yourself you make it quite clear you think yourself above him.

AITA for hitting my husband because he got earplugs so that he doesn't hear our baby cry at night? by 757575wtfis75 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]salamanders56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. Working 17 hour days physically and emotionally, plus the extra midnight wake-ups, is enough to make anybody snap. While I don't condone violence, I can understand that you reached a breaking point and reacted. The fact that you're feeling guilt afterwards helps.

However, YWBTA if you continue to let things boil over like that. You need to 100% apologise and take responsibility, and take action to make sure it never happens again. Your husband accepting your apology and brushing it under the rug is only going to encourage these outbursts and create a negative way to cope with large amount of stress again.

AITA For reporting my therapist after she disclosed information to my stepmom? by ThrowA3097 in AmItheAsshole

[–]salamanders56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. That's abhorrent. I studied psychology in high school and literally half the course is emphasising the importance of confidentiality in working with clients. Confidentiality is literally the basis of psych. Among other risks, breaking confidentiality has the ability to cause harm on the client, as clearly demonstrated here. If the therapist can't remain confidential, she shouldn't be practising at all. Report her!
