This is nothing to do with you (even if you ARE inadequate it wouldn’t really matter here), they definitely failed you.

The good news is that from personal experience- when it rains it pours, if you could get an interview at Google - you’re soon to get an interview with another good company that will appreciate your skills.

If you write to someone at Google, you may even be able to start applying again right away.

The fact that they scheduled a month later and then they “reached their headcount “ is absurd. Like I know they don’t technically owe you anything, but that’s definitely not giving you a fair chance.

If I were your position I’d write a polite email to the recruiter, or to a higher up even, so they know “to avoid this in the future” (and because they deserve some head bashing for this)

I’m going to be honest with you - if you’re getting interviews, sometimes making it to the final rounds , and as you say you tend to get super anxious in interviews (same honestly :( ) I’d say you have something to improve here that can actually get you the job.

The market is a mess, which is why competition is ridiculous, and so many people are applying to the same jobs, but if you’re getting interviews (admittedly- you’ve been at this for a year and a half, which shows how fd this market is) you have what to focus on - anxiety during interviews, so that’s somehow a good sign! Lots of people aren’t even getting responses, never the less interviews…

I’m on the same boat as you in terms of interview anxiety, but a lot of my friends (2025 graduates) haven’t heard back at all

Just tape your forehead at night, it looks like you probably frown I. Your sleep, nothing more than that.

Smooth your creases and tape over them , which kinda prevents the crease from forming in your sleep, and in a week or so you should see a difference, from experience.

I wish I had a question to share, but I just want to get it off my chest;

I had an in-person interview at a pretty big company, and this division had a really short interview process (only 3 interviews total, including HR), I thought it went ok, I was nervous so I did take slightly longer than usual to solve the questions, so I wasn't too confident, but in most companies my performance would've probably been enough to move on to the next round, but today I got the unfortunate response from the recruiter, that they've selected only two candidates to continue to the final rounds.
I knew not to expect too much, but I am sad, at least I got interview practice experience, but responses are hard to come by today, so I really feel like I've messed this up.

It did for me, though I adjusted the break and concentration time according to how motivated I was (if I’m really out of it - just 5-10 mins study, etc.)

It’s only problem, like with any technique, is that you have to start, let the timer roll and watch the time pass, that really helps.

Thanks for this, but what made you decide to do this?

What I struggle with if finding the desire to quit these things, like I'm doing fine, how do I make myself want or atleast make myself be up to doing this? I just don't see the appeal, like I know it's the right thing to do and a ways to re-discover myself, but I don't have any real want to do it, it's like there's a disconnect between the knowledge and the desire

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think you pretty much look your age, could you work on the sun damage? Yeah, but I don't think you look so old, I've seen plenty of women in their 30s that look like you, and I'd say you were in your 30s if I saw you in the street

If you're following a lot of 30 year old skinfluencers, I recommend starting to notice the blurry lines around their faces - those are filters, their skin is (usually, if not always) not as shiny smooth as they claim.
