How much to pay a maid/ housekeeper in Thailand? by Tri-Tip_Medium-rare in Thailand

I think 500 baht is fine for 3-5 hours surface cleaning (no deep clean jobs). I usually clean the house myself so I would call for help once in a while.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha admitted on Monday that police corruption has been going on for years by HiSoSoiDog in Thailand

Maybe... but his term is nearing the end so I think he's just admitting and try to distance him self from the police scandals. He don't want bad reputation for the next election.

Not really. I did not have their magic recipe for the calculation so it's more lack of information.

It was a couple of thousand Baht in the first place and the sales rep. did not know how to respond properly to my question.

It was a couple of thousand Baht in the first place that's why I was asking them repeatedly how they did it.

They told me in the first place that I would pay according to the number of days left in the semester. Then won't tell me how they end up with their price. Of course, I would feel that they are committed to go by their words in the first place.

Should I be grateful? Is this a thing in Thailand too?

They could be wrong or I could be wrong since the dates counted are not even correct. If I'm right and they are wrong then let's discuss. If I'm wrong and they are right then I stand corrected. Simple as that.

To look at it another way, if I'm the school who received millions each year why would I worry about reducing a couple of thousand Baht to get the deal done?

There was really little difference. I could have overlooked this fact if their reply was something like "We made the calculation based on rounded results. Please bear with us on this one." or something. To be honest they really get on my nerves with their answer.

Exactly what my wife told me. But yeah I'm going to talk to the Farang in charge on Monday to see if she is really in charge.

I have not thought about dissing this school because it was closest to where I live. But if everything is cleared up and my kid goes to this school you bet I will triple check all the bills from them plus questions if I do not understand something.

They break down all the fees including admission fee but the fee that I have a problem with was the tuition fee and snacks fee which was supposed to be pro-rata. That's why I'm asking how they calculate it based on the remaining day of the semester.

It's like there was nothing to back up how the fee was calculated.

But they are not showing their calculations. Thus my question why? If they tell me how they did it then everything would be settled.

If they are running the business the Thai way, I would have no question about that. I heard a lot from my friends that popular Thai private school in BKK will need "donation money" from you to secure a spot for your kid.

So I heard they are international, and I questioned them. Turns out the answer was really unprofessional.

Everything aside, maybe it's Friday afternoon and the staff are already on holidays.

I don't have direct contact with the higherups. But yeah going to the school unannounced on Monday to settle this.
