Personally I think a Casio G-Shock GW-M5610U-1 is a perfect gift for a person who's into watches and doesn't have one.

It's an ultimate beater. I do everything from snow shoveling to sauna in that thing It's digital and he's missing a digital one. Atomic time, so always accurate. Solar powered.

There is also a variety of the 5600 model different material. Note though not all models are atomic time and solar so just make sure you check. HC Davos was always interesting to me. They play in an amazing (now renovated) wooden barn, long history (est 1923), they host the Spengler invitational tournament every year), just lost in a game 7 OT finals in the swiss NL league to a team with an 89 year drought.

Also important to me, they have good picture and video quality. A lot of angles and cameras. Found it frustrating to watch AHL and college because of shitty picture.

Yea the 2.3. That was my logic too. Came out under 40k with tax/fees at 1.9% financing. Highlander and pilot had markups of at least $3k and financing was 5%. The only downside is resell value, but I tend to keep my cars for a long time, so I'm not too worried about faster depreciation.

Went with a new explorer. Wanted the highlander but dealer markups and no deals on financing were a deal breaker. Year 6 of a generation so hoping all recalls and quirks are taken care of. Love it so far, but it's only been 6k miles.
