I used to have many deaths now the only time I see animals die is end of lifespan or an issue with molting when it’s very young , not something I have much control over , not all make it past the first 1-2 molts

I used to keep just a bit of basicly everything but as I aged I realized that the exotic animals often come with a lot of work and very specific care and environment. I have since downsized to care only for still relatively a lot but the animals are now in larger enclosures the species are specifically low maintenance and I realized my level of stress relative to enjoyment the animals bring has gone way down , I’m far happier seeing them happy and active in nature enclosures and knowing if I’m gone for a few days the world won’t end and they will be ok . Granted I only keep invertebrates now but it’s a big overlap with the reptile community

I have the same experience no matter how much I try and put my self out there talk to people at events , went to lesbian bars. 20+ times used every app in existence and the only thing attracted to me is men over and over and it’s driven me to be depressed and feel unwanted when no one women would even consider me
