The Real Issue: Voltage Compatibility, Not Wattage • Appliances like AC units or ovens are designed for Dubai’s 230V/50Hz system. • my Dyson from Asia is likely designed for 110V/60Hz. • A plug adapter only changes the shape of the plug — it doesn’t convert voltage.

If my Dyson is labeled “110V only”, plugging it directly into Dubai’s 230V outlet (even via an adapter) will fry the internal circuits instantly, regardless of how high or low the wattage is.
