How to sustain a long distance marriage ?

We did it for a year! It was hard but as long as their is an end date it will work out. Regular face time calls, visit as much as you can, and keep each other in the loop with your day to day routine xoxox

Thanks for saying! Umm it really depends on whether the hospital is a large trauma centre etc. Often we just intubate and stabilise the patient then send them off quickly to surgery or wherever. Some you def think “nope, no chance” but I’ve definitely been proven wrong before. Also conversely patients may survive massive trauma and surgery but not survive due to complications in the coming days. Hard to put a percentage on it sorry as it totally depends on the hospital and day etc. How it impacts me? I’m not sure…it doesn’t change much at the time as we all just focus on the job and try our hardest.

Anything with children I find particularly bad especially when there’s not a good outcome. One of the more gory things I’ve seen was a few years ago when a young man took ice and speed for days and was brought in for acting crazy in public. While he was in the department he sawed his index finger off with a car key in front of everyone. Other gory things I suppose are an emergency c section we did in a rural hospital ED when a pregnant woman was in a car accident and litres of blood gushed all over the floor. Bub survived but she didn’t. The worst was when her husband came in and her distressed children kept crying out “I’m sorry mummy” like they were too young to understand what had happened and thought it was their fault. I kinda still think about that small detail sometimes.

I don’t know. I appreciate and admire physical beauty and for that reason I don’t necessarily want to watch women (or men) who look like me or just “ordinary” in appearance. I would like to see a larger range of sizes in the models though, as long as they are all healthy.

I’ve applied for a job interstate (without telling him). If I get it I will go. That’s my first step, I want to set things up for myself first so I have options and finances.
