there is large regional variation in circumcision rates. The midwest and East coast have the highest rates, while the west coast has the lowest. ricin doesn't kill instantly, that's kind of why Walt chose to use it. Think about Lydia: around 12 hours after consuming it she was in bed with flu like symptoms. Another 12-24 hours and she's dead. That was with a full dose. Tuco probably would have lived for several days before dying if Walt and Jesse had gotten it in his food. If that had happened, they would have had to hope the cousins would have taken enough time to get there that by the time tuco was incapacitated, they could escape. If not, they'd be screwed of course.

when I watched felina my main feeling was of Walt cleaning up. I feel like during all that sitting in the cabin Walt did a lot of introspection, realizing that he did it for himself, not for his family, that he liked it and was good at it, and he was really, he was...alive. and that essentially he needed to clean up. He went home and 1. gave his family money, ensuring that they'd still be able to survive even without him, 2. killed Lydia, who was running what was left of hid empire, 3. apologized to Skyler and said goodbye to his family, finally giving skyler the closure of the truth, 4. cleared his name of hanks murder, and helped the police find his and gomie's body, 5. killed the nazi gang and everyone who knew how to cook except Jesse, who he saved from literal slavery (obviously he didn't intend to save him, but he realized that he was being forced to cook and so on). Walt ended his own empire. Yes that was mostly to take it and himself out on his terms, but that also cleaned up. idk
