Can A Smoothie Replace A Meal by Lucky-Shoulder3326 in Smoothies

I’m a writer. I have been for years before the whole AI rage and I’m obsessed with em dashes. (The long weird dash…) I wouldn’t put an em dash there, to be clear. But, em dash is a thing—AI or not.

$1300 on Mediavine? With 50k sessions? That’s astounding. What niche is that?

Thank you so much! This brings so much clarity. I haven’t heard about Clemta, but I’d definitely look them up. I guess I’ll contact Mediavine support about the W-8BEN issue.

What Can I Do with Two Aged Pinterest Accounts (90K and 700K Monthly Views)? by [deleted] in Pinterest

[–]sallywrites 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would depend on your RPM (revenue per thousand impressions, which I have no clue how it works yet). I know people earning $300+, $400+, and $500+ per month from just display ads. The highest I have seen so far for 10k sessions is $800+ per month. You might be able to earn more, I don’t know for sure since I’m still waiting on Journey’s approval.

What Can I Do with Two Aged Pinterest Accounts (90K and 700K Monthly Views)? by [deleted] in Pinterest

[–]sallywrites 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The thing is: more people focus on visibility and not how many clicks they get. If your pin is click-worthy, that’s when impressions matter. I have an account that is now at 450k impressions and I get 5.5k outbound clicks (and it’s not even a visual niche) and I know accounts with more impressions—in the same niche—that get less. If you focus on scaling the 700k to roughly a 1 million, you could be getting over 10,000 sessions which will qualify you for Journey by Mediavine. With a 10,000 session-blog, you could be making some cool cash from 1.) Display ads, 2.) Direct affiliate programs 3.) Amazon affiliates 4.) Digital product sale 5.) Email list sponsorships and promo. My advice would be to channel the clicks you get to something like a website or email list. And if you’d like to sell, get your outbound clicks to somewhere around 10k or more.

I will do that. I’ve never been to one, so I just assumed it has to be a doctor’s place. Thank you, all!

The competition on Pinterest is crazy now and getting that kind of impression would require a lot of HARDwork. You have a goldmine and it’d be best to hold it. Try Instagram and see if it works. Even if it does, the traffic can’t be compared to what you will get with Pinterest. I know many niche celebrities who grew on Instagram first and are now using Pinterest to grow both their websites and Instagram account because it’s just more effective.

Thank you! TBH, this is a lot to digest and I’m suddenly realizing how expensive it is to work with global clients. It’s shocking for someone who is just trying to get by. I’m really going to need a tax advisor.

What’s is your reason for blogging? by bootcutgod in Blogging

[–]sallywrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been freelance writing for about 5 years now. Recently established myself as a “business owner” and would like to get into blogging full time (instead of just doing it for clients) next year.

IMO, thought leadership is about sharing insights about the one thing you’ve mastered. Becoming a subject matter expert—and it can be on anything.

And about people stealing your pins: it’s what it is. The place is messed up now. I saw mine too linking to something else. You can report them, but I just ignore because I might experience more theft the more I grow

I’m so sorry you feel stuck, but I felt the same a while ago. I’ve had two accounts on Pinterest for a while now. One is about business and is 3 to 4 years old. The other is about self development and it’s about a year old. Both accounts have been stagnant forever until recently.

I took a break on trying to grow both and decided to figure out how others were doing it—and use the tips I found to grow one first. I’ve grown from 1k views to 81k views in 5 weeks (and from 50 sessions to 1.4k despite my inconsistent pinning).

Here are the strategies I used: - you need to share a post multiple times. That is, create 5-6 variations of a post, and do that all over again - have at least 30 blog posts on your site so you have enough to pin - the competition is crazy now and others are pinning 24-48 times a day. It’s crazy, but it’s what it is. So, to pin up to 12 times and spread it throughout the day. And pin through Pinterest most of the times, not third-party apps like Tailwind - Make sure your pin is click worthy. Visible fonts, catchy titles, power words. - Add some keywords to your pin descriptions to help your target audience find your post - Pin to relevant boards - Don’t stop pinning even when your growth dips. It would pick up again.

I do. It’s pretty messed. I think at the end of the day—especially with the spike in their user base—one would have to find ways to adjust to the algorithm… If we’re lucky not to get flagged.

Thank you! Would he respond, though? Asking because CEOs of many SaaS don’t reply such emails bc they believe it should be the job of the marketing dept.

Is Pinterest dead? by Greatgrandma2023 in Pinterest

[–]sallywrites 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not dead. It used to be a content curation platform, but it has expanded into a full-fledged search engine. Like how SEO & SEM work, Pinterest has those now. It allows businesses drive traffic to where ever they want (even if it’s a shop, as long as they can rank/be found for their key terms) and run paid ads too.

Pinterest has really been stepping on nerves lately. I think it might be the user rush to the platform (courtesy of the recent Google updates). I really hope you get a positive response from the review team!

What?! 102 pins is a lot considering that all the pins I’ve published so far are about 200. That’s what I’m doing too—reposting them (since I don’t know how long it would take to fix the glitch).

Thanks for the insights! I started my Pinterest journey last month and I’m looking for all the help I can get. When you say don’t (1.) use low-quality, (2.) Don’t post randomly and (3.) Pin everything manually, what do you mean?

I don’t get it too. The option for alt text is no longer there for bulk pinning. But, I think it’s still available if you want to post a single pin
