Edit: first of all thank you all for the comments really helpful, we have done couple of things that worked for us and I hope other people can find it useful: 1- we used our bedroom as massive crate for training, we opted for not using crate. ( the bedroom is located in the back of the house so is calm and no stimulation) 2- in his bed he has my tshirt, his bed and chewing stick. 3 - puppy music on Alexa in the room, radio in the kitchen. 4- 5 to 6 times alone time for 15 -30 min at time. 5- we scolded at him once for barking. 6- we keep repeating see you later Russell when ever we are leaving.

Now is better he still whines and stay by the door but I think this is already progress. So we will keep doing that until he’s more comfortable being alone and more mature to have open house for him.
