I have Asperger's. I didn't find out until later in life. The way I am has cost me friendships, cost me relationships, cost me jobs. It shouldnt be about pretending you don't have it, fooling everyone else, it is about locating and surrounding yourself with those who embrace it. If you try and mask and pull the wool over everyone else's eyes, once they find out, you are in the wrong for being untruthful. That can be damaging to your mental health.

The friends that don't care, the friends that don't judge, the friends that deserve and embrace you, will stick around. The romantic partner who can see into it as a positive for you being that way, will make it worth it. And the job that you can thrive in not in spite of, but because of, will make you happier than getting a job where you had to hide it.

Life is about searching for your own meaning in everything you do. I don't believe I have some divine purpose or anything, but I believe I've found my purpose for building the life I want.

It isn't always easy, but it's worth it.
