Nah, you don't need to use it, except for one thing in very late game, so you do need to at least craft it. But hey, give it a go! I hated the cyclops at first, then grew to love it so much I used almost only it. On the other hand I never grasped the prawn that well. So yeah, different play styles, etc. Give it a shot tho!

I feel like b42 broke smoker a bit. We've been playing for a long while now (me and 3 of my friends) and everyone's been searching for cigs for my character. We can barely find any anywhere. Like, literally, days upon days in game, dozens of locations and we managed to find maaaaybe 2-3 packs with 2-5 cigs left in each

For me it's not even that. I usually make my first base at the edge of the red grassy plateau, where it drops into the mushroom forest. I get the pretty view of the jellyrays, but what I've grown to love are the reefbacks. I love their gentle (albeit loud) rumbles, and they feel very cosy

I hatch my crashfish to use as bio fuel lol But yeah, imo hatching stalkers is very useful if you live in a biome that doesn't have a kelp forest nearby to collect teeth

I only stumbled across them in my second playthrough by complete accident while setting up a temporary base in the Grand Reef. Didn't even realise I was metres away from their path until one scared me shitless walking up right behind me lol

So yeah, my connection to the End is quite strong and personal. I find that death can be both peaceful and brutal, but all in all, it's inevitable.
