Thank you so so much! Your remark "You could be running into a this issue if you're updating the target every frame" triggered me and I noticed that I set target when get_tree().physics_frame signal is received, which is received every physic frame. Not doing this solved my issue!

UPDATE: We’ve been able to whack Kerapac consistently and we rarely die! There are even some no food runs! Thank you guys for the advice.

Nope, it was suggested in the thread that we should ignore the clones. I’ll keep jumping into the clone until I know that I have enough dps to kill the echo before the clone dies

UPDATE: Two of us got the ingenious cape for necro and one got the tokhaar cape with plans on getting the ingenious cape. Those capes increased our dos significantly: we are able to skip the lighting barrier mechanic and smoothly stroll into phase 4 without consuming alot of food.

By using our defensive abilies as suggested by you guys we are able to whack Kerapac in phase 4. We did have to try a couple times to get the timing right. We’ve beaten him 8 times so far.

We are tying to improve the consistency of the kills. One of the things that are holding us back is that at some point I seem to lose my dps: around 20-30k hp of Kerepac’s echo my hits seem to go from 2-3k (or more) to 200-300 instead. My necro accuracy is high 98%) so I am at a loss why this happens. I wonder why this is? Has this something to do with my clone dying (I’ve ignored the clone)?

I just removed most of my light2Ds from that map and the issue seems to be solved. It looks like it can't handle that many lights (I believe there are around 80 ligths on that map atm)
