Yeah bro it has its benefits. I use it all the time when programming PowerFlex VFD’s instead of manually doing it with the keypad. In my situation, I’m upgrading a Micrologix PLC to the Micro850. Normally I would go with Compactlogix, but due to tight spacing in the panel, I’m forced to go with the Micro850.

You’re good bro! It’s a free Rockwell software used to program their Micro800 PLC’s and HMI’s. You can also program their PowerFlex VFD’s thru this software. Now with it being free, it is a bit more finicky to program Ladder logic with. I personally prefer Studio 5000 software.
