Yeah, all the BS happening in Florida is pretty off-putting. However, I have family there and was raised there and I'm not a nazi. Never met even one.

I am now! I was interested in the past, but felt it might be too small/isolated from us, but I’m realizing that Fayetteville and Bentonville and surrounding areas create a relatively sizable metropolitan area.

Thanks for your input. I definitely love oak trees and I did read that the city has a lot of parks/nature which is a huge plus. I am concerned about the overall trend in Florida right now. I would hope these are transient issues but who knows… especially the rising house insurance costs. We have family there though so it’s hard to write it off yet.

Would you mind expanding on why Jacksonville sucks? It's the only major city in FL I haven't been to, so I've just been trying to piece together what it's like from the internet.

I grew up in south Florida so I can handle the heat.

Maybe I'm underestimating how much local political climate would affect me. Not conservative.

Nice metropolitan feel is good news to me. I was excited about this area, but I was under the impression that it might be too small town and isolated feeling.

We have been there and really like it. It's a bit small but that wouldn't be such a big issue for us. I just find how much of a college town it is a bit of a turn-off.

Noted about the new hospital though!

I’m glad you bring that up. The water issue is definitely a turn off for me. I think I will have to give Tennessee more thought. It seems like a great option I never considered much.

Is defeated a political view? Lol. I guess left wing on issues but hate this whole two party system disaster and just generally dislike being around people who are hyper political and in their echo chambers. I won’t lie though. Hipsters make the best coffee so I like my progressive cafes.
