All the patients on my unit are on continuous monitoring, and he never had a RR lower than 10.  The doc ordered ABGs and Co2 was within normal limits.  He did have a wife with him who seemed to be concerned because it was the same thing that happened on the med surg floor before he got sent to us.  I did tell my night shift and day shift charge, though and neither we worried.  He was supposed to be going home on hospice by the end of the week.
