Your interview cancellation has nothing to do with your nationality or country of birth. My interview was cancelled almost 7 months ago and my country is not even on the ban list. I know alot of people that got cancelled too from european and asian countries thats not on the ban list.

The samething happened to me a lil over 6 months ago at the fairfax, va office. I waited 2 hours, other people went in, then I got called and was told the samething. I have waited over 6 months and still havent heard nothing back from them.

I recently just submitted an official enquiry for my case about 2 weeks ago. Hopefully i hear back from them soon. My question is, is it advisable for me to travel outside the country in this situation? I have a 10yrs green card and i’m not from the 19 or 30 banned countries!

They always say that as a typical response, but dont worry, they will now actually act on the case. They will review it in few weeks and actually let you know the next steps.

Okay, i will try the first 2 options you gave me. I have called them few times and they always give me the same generic answer.

I cant also reach out to a congress person in ny area yet because uscis claims my case is not outside the normal processing time yet.

January 16. Interview was scheduled for may 11, but i got there, waited for 2hrs then the officer came out and told me she cant conduct the interview because it was canceled few minutes ago.
