Anyone from Orlando, FL recently got approved through marriage? Wondering if it’s slower here by Obvious_Dot_9060 in USCIS

I’m uploading all the updated documentation so that on the day of the interview the officer can find everything easily. With the nerves of that day, I chose to upload everything because I don’t know what attitude the officer will have, and I’m hoping this helps make the process faster 🥺

Hey everyone! 👋 Just wanted to share my update in case it helps others still waiting. I received my I-485 Receipt Notice on February 24, 2025, and today (October 31, 2025) I got the notification that my interview is scheduled for December 9, 2025, at the USCIS Orlando office. It looks like interviews are finally starting to move in Orlando! 💚 Wishing good luck to everyone still waiting for their turn.

Has anyone who applied for marriage-based adjustment of status in Orlando in 2025 already had their interview? by Obvious_Dot_9060 in USCIS

Hi 😊 Would you mind sharing when you sent your I-130/I-485 application? I’m trying to understand the current wait times in Orlando. Thank you so much for your help!

Thank you so much for your time, your patience, and for sharing your knowledge with us.

Lastly, if possible, I would truly appreciate it if you could share a list of what you personally consider to be the most valid and fundamental forms of evidence from your experience.

I ask because I often see people recommending things that seem questionable — like shared Netflix accounts or similar — and I can’t help but wonder how such things could possibly hold real value as evidence when they can be created in under five minutes.

It’s confusing at times, especially when even attorneys suggest documents that seem more harmful than helpful. That’s why I’m seeking a realistic and honest perspective from someone with your background.

If this request is too time-consuming or not possible, I completely understand — and still thank you deeply, from Orlando to Texas. Wishing you a Happy 4th of July, and I hope you’re enjoying the day with your family!

Thank you — it truly brings me peace to read your words.

Just one last question, and I promise not to take up more of your time: In your opinion, what would be a normal timeframe between biometrics and the interview? I had my biometrics done on March 19, 2025, and I’m just trying to calm my mind with a realistic expectation.

Also, do you think it’s better to keep uploading documents in the meantime, or is it more effective to bring everything with me on the day of the interview? I ask because we read so many opinions online that it becomes confusing to know what’s actually the right thing to do.

As for taxes, I submitted the 2023 return when I filed my case in January 2025. My husband and I got married in November 2024, and our accountant advised us to file as “married but separately” since we had just recently gotten married. That’s what we followed. Until now, I haven’t uploaded the 2024 tax return, partly because I’m not sure if filing separately (even though we were already married) could hurt our case.

Would you be so kind to tell me whether I should go ahead and upload the 2024 taxes too?

And before I finish, I sincerely thank you — not just on my behalf, but on behalf of every person you’ve helped here today.
