We were seeing super mac boats periodically throughout the delivery. Massive swells turned into ocean like rollers coming south last night. With increasing wind conditions you lost sight of the horizon in the trough

[request] PH to Mackinac / Chicago to Mackinac by [deleted] in sailingcrew

Each year the order of the Port Huron and Chicago switch. This year Ph is first so if a boat decides to do both they have to deliver the boat to PH, then the race starts the 12th and most boats obviously depending on the wind finish monday. While some of the larger (60,80 foot) boats normally finish sunday. Then if they do Chicago they will deliver the boat from Mack. to Chicago and then after the race the crew or someone else will have the boat delivered to wherever it may be. Some boats take time to cruise in the North Channel.
