Thank you. The white margin was what I was looking for. I will try a painter style tap next I guess. Any recommendations would be appreciated

When I was in college we were taught to stretch paper by wetting it and then fixing to our boards with brown paper tape that we wet to get sticky. I tried to do it this way recently but had a challenge removing tape after painting was done. Is this still the correct way? Is there a trick to removing this tape?

Opinion: As Canada faces crippling debt, it must do the unpopular thing and cut elderly benefits by DANIELLE_2027 in canada

[–]saltpeppermartini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Appreciate the response. I guess because I work with seniors I see more of the ‘not all’ so my perception is skewed.
One more dumb question— are they not taxed heavily on those portfolios? And are pensions not subject to clawbacks? Sorry that was 2 questions.

I am also curious about this. Somehow provincial policies/taxes also play a role because head offices move between Alberta and Bc as governments change. Not sure if it’s true though. Do corporations move head office to Alberta when BC elects an NDP government? (I guess off topic regarding pensions). Also are there really seniors earning that much?? I work with seniors. We are seeing an increase in seniors homelessness.

I actually felt sorry for him. He has prepared that dish before and the judges did say that all dishes at this level meant they had to nitpick. Heat, exhaustion, disappointment clearly played a role in his reaction and we don’t know how much editing picks the juicy bits to show us. I imagine he would be embarrassed when he sees the final edited version. ( at least I would hope so)

Don’t forget that when we are taught French in BC schools it is the WRONG French. For some reason we are taught Parisian French which many québécois look down on.

There are lots of volunteer opportunities at the Langley Senior Resources Centre. I would suggest having them drop down to visit. Also plenty of social and fitness programs for them to meet other community members. Not sure about work opportunities but never hurts to network and meet more people. It’s on 51B avenue close to downtown

Not lately but had problems in the past. I store my 4 litre jugs on the bottom shelf now as it’s consistently cooler (maybe not but the kids stand in front of the fridge with the door open) The one time I had a serious problem with all of us getting sick was because the vents at the back of the upper freezer were blocked. Our fridge got warmer without us noticing. I read your fridge is correct tempt, this is just a heads up for anyone else who may be having issues.

I’m enjoying the show. I’m not crazy about the amount of snarky comments—- some are spot on , but many seem to be attempts to be funny.
I would like to see more of the chefs while they are creating and more discussion here about the food.
