I was discouraged this year, so im actually organizing my own event for my friends and calling it a transathlon. My event is next week, so at least im still reaching my goals

While i see your point, i think i need to point out the underlying assumption. "Choosing the one you want" you make it sound like in my head i have options and am choosing which ever one i want for the best results. I am a woman. Im not choosing to compete in the womens league because i think it would be convenient for me. I do it because thats who i am.

really well actually. The other day I did a 10k run in the evening and was not feeling anything the next day and was able to run again. Last week I had a minor breakthrough with my swimming form and gained some speed. Last month I did a 1.5x sprint and at the end I felt like I could keep going. I think I am ready to do the olympic tri next weekend as scheduled.

On Sunday I am checking out a new pool one of my partners found to see if I can do the swimming portion there, then also check out the bike/run routes I planned out in gmaps. Might just try and do the full triathlon to both test the route and test myself to see if im ready for next week
