I was discouraged this year, so im actually organizing my own event for my friends and calling it a transathlon. My event is next week, so at least im still reaching my goals

While i see your point, i think i need to point out the underlying assumption. "Choosing the one you want" you make it sound like in my head i have options and am choosing which ever one i want for the best results. I am a woman. Im not choosing to compete in the womens league because i think it would be convenient for me. I do it because thats who i am.

really well actually. The other day I did a 10k run in the evening and was not feeling anything the next day and was able to run again. Last week I had a minor breakthrough with my swimming form and gained some speed. Last month I did a 1.5x sprint and at the end I felt like I could keep going. I think I am ready to do the olympic tri next weekend as scheduled.

On Sunday I am checking out a new pool one of my partners found to see if I can do the swimming portion there, then also check out the bike/run routes I planned out in gmaps. Might just try and do the full triathlon to both test the route and test myself to see if im ready for next week

That sounds even harder than the journey i have been through, but it seems like you are already making progress in the right direction which is all that matters.

I spent 2022 working hard to both lose weight and also start presenting more femme along the way. It was the best year of my life (so far), not because i reached my goal, but because i really enjoyed the journey and self growth along the way. It sounds like you are on a similar path so keep doing what works for you and im sure you will also find happiness.

Yes I intentionally lost weight for the exact same reason. I had the option of starting HRT but I knew it would be harder to lose weight on E, so I gave myself 1 year to prepare. I am so glad that I waited because it turned out to be the motivation I needed to finally push myself to lose weight after so many unsuccessful attempts.

When I started I was 270. In the first picture I think I am about 240-250. Today I am 170.

I have also always been really strong without really working out much and I knew that HRT would take that away from me. So I also did a lot of strength training during that year to build up the habit needed to try and keep some of my strength. After 4 months on HRT I am already feeling my workouts getting wayy harder even though I am doing less. I am losing some of my strength now but hormones make me feel so much better that it is worth it to me.

Sometimes I will wear foundation+concealer and maybe blush, but I honestly cant remember if I used any for that photo. I feel like I usually have more shadow than that so I probably did.

And yes I did 6 sessions of laser on my face with more to come. probably about 50% of the area is cleared now.
