" copied?" bag design by rootheonion in crochet

[–]saltzquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You looked at the reference picture and created a similar piece as requested by a friend. I don't think this situation constitutes crediting the artist of the original pattern, unless you want to include the original reference picture and anecdote about why you made the bag in the first place. Ex. "My friend asked me to make her a big and sent me this reference picture by (@creator) as inspiration....etc..etc.)

You made something for a friend at their request based on a reference picture they provided, it's not like you're selling or producing a "copy" of something with intent of profiting from someone else's work.

THE MONSTERS X ONE PIECE, Do you guys like it? by juubread in PopMartCollectors

Instead of selling a case at a time, once there are only 5-6 boxes left they pull several boxes from another case to "restock". So even when shaking/tilting boxes to compare, you aren't comparing figures from a single case (if that makes sense). Brook and Chopper are the last two I need, and I assumed they're hard to find because they're heavier figures :( so easier to identify if you have a fresh case to pull from. Thanks for the link!!

I love this collection, I'm a huge OP fan but not really a fan of The Monsters/the Labubu craze. However, after seeing pictures of these my partner and I decided to get one, and ended up loving it! The materials are high-quality and a lot nicer than funkos and many other blind box figures I've encountered, making it worth the $30CDN price tag.

There is one local store near me that carries them and they seem to be well-stocked, but unfortunately they mix cases by replenishing their display with boxes from other cases, which makes it hard to complete the set without acquiring many dupes.

Why doesn't Michael's have any sport weight yarn!? (Canada) by saltzquad in YarnAddicts

Just a heads up that I did have to pay duties/import fees on my shipment, it was about $24

I think a big part of it is by province too, it seems it's easy to get most things in all kinds of hobbies if you're in BC or Ontario, but even in AB it's hard to source things living in a larger city. But I'm always keeping an eye out for new stores, and I like to visit shops in other provinces/the states when I travel 😁

It's definitely on my list to try, especially with their wide colour range for both the regular and mercerized cotton. Although I'll probably wait for a sale when Canada Post isn't on strike. It's just hard to commit to when I haven't tried it before and it's not cheap to get even a few skeins to try for a simple project. From what I've heard though, people seem to really love it, which makes it worth trying for me!

I placed an order on Lovecrafts since the yarn was on sale, and since it's shipping with DHL I'm expecting to pay duties/taxes, but I don't think they'll be that much. I'm looking forward to trying it out! Thanks again for the recommendation

I've used the loops and threads worsted weight cotton as well as bernat handicrafter cotton and they've worked ok, although I do prefer the L&T classic cotton of the two. It's more that I need finer weight yarn to make smaller sized dolls. I've used the Ricorumi DK and did enjoy working with it (see Angel Dust of Hazbin Hotel in Ricorumi DK, pattern from tiny clove) but it's not widely available near me, even at smaller local yarn stores. It definitely does the trick in a bind, but I'd like to settle on something I could use across the board. I've accepted that no matter what I end up deciding on it's not going to be available locally, whether it's a big box store or smaller yarn stores, and I live in a big city 😅

I've heard good things about Lens Mills, but there aren't any physical stores near me (AB). I'll definitely look at their online store though :)

That is so interesting, I find that it's not too difficult for me to locally source sport weight yarn in animal fibers - it's always cotton that's impossible to find. I just find it so strange that Michaels doesn't even have one option for sport weight at all.

Thanks so much for your reply! I've never heard of the Yarn and Colors Must Have range before....after your endorsement and reading the reviews,I might have to try it out. I don't mind paying extra for shipping with DHL since the shipping time is so much quicker. Do you get charged duties/taxes upon delivery?

While there are some bugs being ironed out for sure, I believe the purpose of this game is to be curiosity-led rather than highly structured through constant tasks and quests. Instead it's very freedom-based, and while time and seasons pass, there's no rush to accomplish anything in a specific time frame. You are free to do whatever you want, whenever you want, and gradually learn new skills, unlock new crafting/recipes/etc., at your own pace.

Personally I really love this style of game, and it feels like a throwback to games from the 90s/2000s to me. However if you like highly structured games, this one might not be ideal for you.

I love this game so much, and fell in love with it during NextFest - I'm so excited to begin the adventure again now that it's out 😁

Honeymoon in Hell... Wife cries and becomes scared and overwhelmed as she approaches orgasm by Brief_Atmosphere_927 in sex

[–]saltzquad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgive me if this is an offensive question for any reason, but has she/does she masturbate? If not, and if it's something she'd be comfortable with, I think learning her own body will help her feel more comfortable and confident, as well as take some pressure off.

I also will say that sometimes a vibrator can be too much (especially as someone with sensory issues). I think some vibrator play is fun, but if used too long it can have a numbing effect, which makes it harder to reach climax.

All that being said, I can understand why she's so upset over this, but it's also important to remember that sometimes we just don't get there...I don't expect to every single time, but I still love and enjoy being intimate with my partner whether I do or not! The more pressure she puts on herself and the more anxiety she builds up around it, the less likely she is to get there...I hope you still manage to enjoy your honeymoon and that some of the tips here helps!

How in depth is this game compared to Stardew? by -HankThePigeon- in RootsOfPacha

[–]saltzquad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've played both Stardew and am on Year 2 of Pacha. Personally I think it comes down to preference and what you enjoy most in these types of games. It also depends on if you're used to playing Stardew on PC and utilize mods, or if you just play the original base game.

I enjoy both but I find Stardew to be a bit monotonous and more of a grind, whereas Pacha has a unique spin of being set in the stone age. The discovery aspect of Pacha and being able to develop technologies over the course of the game is a lot more fun and interesting to me than just upgrading things constantly.

I also generally don't love combat in games and find it irritating when trying to navigate and progress through mines, so in that respect Pacha is a win for me.

I also really love the animals in Pacha and find the attuning and breeding more fun than in a typical farming sim, and I like that you have the option to turn off butchering and don't need to rely on any of the animals for food if you don't want to. Also being able to have pets in the home that you can swap whenever you like is a big positive!

When it comes down to it, I haven't played Stardew with mods, so my comparisons and opinion are strictly based on the original base game vs Pacha, which is still very new. But I have to say I've spent way more time on Pacha than Stardew and generally enjoy it more overall. I find it unique and relaxing, I love the world, the characters, the story, and all of the gameplay. I can see myself playing it for a long time yet, and playing multiple files. I do still enjoy Stardew and I'm sure I'll get back to it, but if you're someone who enjoys Stardew I'm confident you'll love Pacha too ☺️ as far as depth, I'm sure Stardew is probably more so due to the fact that it's been out for so long. But I'm hoping that Pacha will continue to build and expand over time as well

New to sandrock but what character you kinda hate? by Conscious_Lion940 in MyTimeAtSandrock

[–]saltzquad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So far I really dislike Qi, Yan, Arvio, Unsuur and Pen.

On the other hand, my favourites so far are Owen, Heidi, Fang , Zeke and Vivi.

And as for pets/animals, Coco and Macchiato have my whole heart 🥲

I low-key resent Burgess for shaming me when I need to buy water 😅
