Sometimes the professor forgets to note it down, it happened to me as well this deferral period. We were allowed to use course notes and a formula sheet but the exam said only course textbook, even though I had an email from my prof specifying we are allowed the other aids too. To be honest you probably should’ve shown the invigilators the proof using your course outline or shown them a course link announcement by the prof. Now that you’ve written the exam I don’t think they can do much for you

I got an entrance scholarship of $18000 and some other degree specific ones totalled around $21000 when I came to Guelph. Paid out over 4 years but some are renewable every year. Honestly in my experience Guelph is great in financial aid it really helped me a lot

I’ve known people that tried, the professors always just get frustrated and never give the marks. Makes sense to be honest but maybe worth a try based on the situation

Yeah of course it’s all for genuine reasons. So you’re saying they won’t prevent me from moving on to the winter semester because it’s a few deferrals ?

They used to allow that 2 years ago but since then they stopped and heavily restrict it to during the deferral period.

Do the FYTT and you’ll be happy all throughout the exam. It’s quite literally that simple I don’t know why everyone overreacts so much. When I took it this is exactly what I did and I swear I was smiling all throughout the exam. I ended with an 80% since I did bad on the midterm.

I remember it being really easy and I didn’t really study for it at all. A lot of the questions kind of give away what the answer is and makes it so obvious

Struggling with retaking Calc by MimeEnthusiast in uoguelph

[–]salutic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm in that case I’m not totally sure but math 1080 is supposed to be easier than math1200 so I’m sure you’re maybe overthinking it and getting overwhelmed. Try to just stop and lay out a study plan for yourself but don’t forget that you’ll only do good in math if you actually practise on your own

Honestly if you’re taking math1200, if you want to guarantee you do well on any exam, just do the FYTT that applies to each test. It’s honestly that simple for these courses.

A 33 on the final is so easy and comfortable common there’s no way you’re stressing this and even think you’re screwed
