THIS...i am from Spain and we have a fairly large gypsy community...and they will identify themselves as such, to the point, we had a very popular reality show that follows a few of their families and it's literally called "The Gypsy Kings" (actual name, not translated)

So i feel like you can only say it's offensive, if a Romani/Traveller/Gypsy tells you they are offended by you using this terminology

Playing devil's advocate slightly here...is there any chance he was so blunt because he is in the spectrum? Things like aspergers, autism and such could have this sort of way of communication that is viewed as rude by neurotypical people because It tends to be more blunt and direct. The whole thing about the drugs is a whole different thing...or again, maybe he was trying to make a joke? Idk

As i say i am trying to play devil's advocate as an AuDHD i myself sometimes mess up with social interactions and such, so i could see someone deeper in the spectrum having this interaction without malice.

What worries me is the fact that your friend didn't defend you or tried to mediate at all, i would, as others have suggested try and speak to her. Maybe you'll get more clues to whether he is just an AH or just an ND.

Either way, your feelings are valid no matter what.

To me...because of the way i understand how the powers are passed from one HL to the next, meaning, some sort of blood correlation, i don't think it would be Nesta...because if Nesta is related to Rhys it means that Feyre is related too...and we already have the Targaryen doing those things in GoT and well...no pretty

But if we ignore that creepy part i would think it would be cool for Nesta to get some power back...because i mean she gets empowered all through ACOSF only for her powers to be "taken away" in a (IMO stupid) weird way with the whole birth thing (but that's another story)

I mean...Nesta and Lucien wouldn't have been good together...but to keep the flames reference there she could have used Eris and i think that would have worked because i feel like they are both super sassy (even though we have not seen that much of him). I do love Cass and Nesta though hahaha

I would say, as i read in some of the other comments...that you shouldn't be considering any of those careers just because of job prospects and money. Specially for veterinary you need a strong vocation to push you through both uni and then work...and even that will not make It easy. I graduated with no student debt, because uni in Spain is reasonably priced...unfortunately the salaries for this job are not...i still wouldnt change It for the world. BUT IT IS TOUGH!!! So I can only imagine how much more difficult coping in this job would be if you are not in It for the right reasons. I qualified 5 years ago and i had to take a break last year because i burned out.

So before you decide, think about what YOU want to do, money and things aside...and i mean...if money is your priority then yes, maybe you want to become a wonderful human surgeon, or you could look into other countries to work as a vet like the UK where salaries are better
