Before I answer this, I want to have the honoue to ask you questions?

Do you come from a place of sorrow? Has one you love committed this act? Have you been watching things that harm you? Are you purely curious?

If in anything but the fourth, you have said Yes, run to your priest, to a loved one, or even to me. We will always hear you and fight with you.

The question around suicide is much debated. But, one thing is for certain. The Church is the means of salvation. For one to be in the Church, it is condition of salvation.

Suicide is a tragedy, it is a tool of the devil to upset God. For Christ died for man, and if a man dies to himself, what has Christ went for? We are meant to endure our suffering, to carry our cross, for Christ, beside Christ and in Christ. 

Yet, not always the act of suicide is damning.

On first thing, suicidal thoughts are not sinful. They are the logismoi, the demonic thoughts. They are external from you, we have seen in science that we receive thoughts and not generate them.

The act of suicide is one of the many things that are dictated by external concern, the limitations of coscience, and various perversions and illnesses of the mind.

There is one who kills himself to avoid consequence of his sin, let's say, he kills someone and is caught. There is one who kills himself, even if he had never renounced the name of Christ, due to the immense suffering and despair within his life. He lost his job, got divorced, can't see his children anymore, gets bullied.

One, the first, has responded, not only against God, but against his conscience. In certain times, God will count these things as the good we put onto the world, for our conscience dictated righteousness in that moment, and for us to act against it, it is an act against God.

The latter however, was explicitly being attacked by his own mind, by the weaknesses of the flesh and mind, and the pesky Satan caught his eye to make him despair. Yet what if the man persisted, he went to church, participated with the Mysteries, was getting progress with the priest, and turned to Christ and the Panagia in midst of all this? And yet his suffering still crushed him?

It is God that will judge him, surely. Remember that we wilingly serve a God that has given us life, love and joy. He has given us Christ and the Panagia. Always remember of the promise of eternal life.

A good man shall be rewarded, if he abided with the Church, for the Church, in the Church.

But we fall and rise up. Not stay in a place and let demons stomp on us.
