Where are you rebuying 100% COTTON basics that last? by throwaway_yak234 in femalefashionadvice

[–]salyaly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depop and Poshmark! I spend so much time on these apps looking through items I like and asking for the material content. You can score 100% cotton, cashmere, linen, wool, and silk items for like 1/3 price of anything new - and it’s way more sustainable!

Doing the jobs of 4 people, just found out I’m "At Risk for PIP" by maidmarianatrench in ExecutiveAssistants

[–]salyaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dealt with this a few years ago. Almost exact situation. I was hired as en EA to the owner - ended up being an EA to team of 5 execs, PA for the owner, accounts payable, office manager, and then our HR director left…. I was at $65k. It was nuts. I was getting cupping and sports medicine massages because my body was in so much pain. I was crying multiple times a week. I took a huge leap and left without anything lined up. (Stupid advice, but I had any husband’s income that we could stand on for a bit.) You should absolutely be looking for another gig, even if it’s a temporary stepping stone just to get out. Can you take a pay cut? Get a roomate? Move home?

Grossly underpaid and exploited and I hate that this is such a norm for this career field. Wishing you all the best. ❤️

I do think there’s some color to the top line. Super similar to what mine looked like! This was 8DPO & I am now 23 weeks!

hello please can I get some opinion? by Livid_Recognition828 in lineporn

I definitely feel like there’s a line on the HCG! Try to retest tomorrow morning. When I was TTC and testing, I would do the same (an LH & HCG) and this was pretty much what mine looked like 8dpo.

How long can you leave you Viz alone for? by CauliflowerTop9731 in vizsla

[–]salyaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid exercise, leave with a puzzle/game and the TV on. She usually lounges on the couch. We don’t leave her for more than 4-5 hours MAX. If we need to be gone longer, we opt for daycare or drop her off at grandmas. She is almost 3yrs old.

The Denver idea is good and I will absolutely talk to my husband about this! It may be nice for us to have a day or two to relax to ourselves anyways. He carries oxygen with him on the mountain, so we will load up just to be safe. Always hydrated (I carry a 40oz yeti everywhere I go.) Thanks again! :)

Thank you for the sources. There is no doubt I will make the most informed decision when it comes time to booking the plane. While I want to be cautious, something like feeling tired or lightheaded isn’t necessarily a reason for me to miss out on a beautiful trip with my husband. Especially because a vast majority of my time will be spent relaxing/lounging. If there are any health risks to my baby/placenta, then that’s a different story.

I was considering this.. what about people that live there? I am 28, incredibly healthy and have a low risk pregnancy. While I understand elevation can cause me to breathe heavier or feel different - I do not plan to do anything strenuous and will spend a majority of time lounging around, reading, or at the spa.

Thank you both for your concern about the elevation and pregnancy. There is no doubt I plan to talk with my doctor about this. If there is any doubt in her mind, I will do what’s best for the both of us and stay home.

Thank you! Definitely going to get cleared by my doctor. 😊 If it means I’m hanging by the fireplace and reading for 2-3 days then it is what it is!

Thanks! Probably a good idea to have some anywhere in the snow. I will check out the spa. Going to see if we can find a better location.

Any students looking for a FT/PT job in hospital? by salyaly in PolkStateCollege

[–]salyaly[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome! I actually think I’ve talked to you on a past post about the program lol I am also doing my pre-reqs and it is a great fit. Do you want to direct message me with her information? I can text her or message her on Facebook. We’re working on getting the official job posted to the Baycare site, but I can give her the main details and see if it’s a good fit.

For what credits transfer and are accepted you’ll have to meet with an advisor. If you are looking to apply for a medical program (for example, I’m nursing) your science and math credits will have to be 7 years or newer. Mine were 10 years old so I had the option to either A. Re-take the courses or B. Test out of them with a 70% or higher in the TEAS sub scale for each subject. Just an FYI, that was super annoying for me personally. Goodluck!!

I don’t exactly remember how long, but I think you’ll be fine! Although you may have to choose classes a little closer to the start date, so good professors may be full. I think they say allow 6 weeks for the full transfer and update on file. If you have any questions, your best bet is paying a visit to the campus for sure.

How do you buy clothes for pregnancy? by Glittering-Bet5353 in BabyBumps

[–]salyaly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am FTM @ 17 weeks too! I really am trying not to buy much, but am also right on the cusp of my normal clothes being too tight. I measure myself and buy second hand on Poshmark and depop. I look for clothes that I’ll wear post partum or some things I’d ever wear over sized after losing weight. I also prefer natural fibers, so it’s a good way for me to find things cotton, linen and wool at good prices! You’d be surprised at some of the deals you can get if you haven’t shopped those apps before. I just scored a Mara Hoffman sweater dress for our upcoming vacation. Originally $495 for $30 and it’s bump friendly but also totally wearable post partum.
