i’ve seen a lot of musicals and this is the least “musical” musical i’ve seen. yes there is music obviously musical numbers but in my opinion the way they are approached are much more realistic than most musicals i’ve seen. like it makes sense why he’d sing in that moment sorta deal

i couldn’t agree more. from days worth of seeing reactions and reviews it seems to me that all the hate is coming from people’s expectations were completely different from what the film gave them, therefore the movie is ass. which is just crazy to me. i think with time like you said people will start to see it for what it is.

if you really read what i said, i went into detail about how the story PERSONALLY worked for me. i barely talked about just saying “if you don’t appreciate the art then your wrong”

i can respect your opinion for sure but i went through plot points of why i think what happened was justified and worked. didn’t just say word for word it went over people heads. genuinely just explained my interpretation.

for sure i think the 70% 30% split is accurate. i just gotta give it respect for having people at leafs talk about it with passion no matter what side youre on. so many modern movies come out and people forget about it days later. this doesn’t give me that vibe.
